Saturday morning at Instinct 🔥

Different ages. Different abilities. Different goals.

Same room. Same workout. Everyone doing the version that works for them.

A bit of barbell. A bit of suffering (aka burpees and assault bike 😈). Plenty of questionable weekend decisions being reconsidered.

But everyone leaves a little better than they arrived.

Not a bad way to start Saturday 🙌

We all have different reasons why we do what we do . Love the moments when small gestures of words make it worth while....(Quote/unquote)
Shout out to @teampetera and his Head Judging team. Working as part of the judges volunteering team this year was such an incredible experience.
Waka and his team made it so easy for us. Mean mahi all around whanau!
Proud of the organisers behind it for doing their mahi and making the event bigger and better every year ❤️. @the.coach.burgy @oneilljillian @jan.wells13 @jenni.rhodes3
What a team ! Wheels don't move if I don't have you guys doing what we do together.
A team is not about one its about everyone playing and doing their part for the same end goal.
Appreciate you all 100%. @the_reel_brons @nicoletuporo15 @deneflude ...Thank you for the trust and allowing us to be apart of your event. May @oceaniajudgesyndicate be apart of your future events and we wish you all a great break and family time .

1000 CLUB 🏆

Congratulations @megoughton !

A huge achievement to tick over the 1000 Club milestone.

Meg is one of the few who have reached 1,000 sessions, but what makes this even more special is that she now joins her parents, Pat & Jan, in this very exclusive club. ❤️

Three family members. 3,000+ sessions.
That’s consistency. That’s commitment. That’s a lifestyle.

Well done, Meg! 👏

Here’s to many more. 1000 down, plenty more to go! 💪

A huge milestone for one of the true cornerstones of our community. @jan.wells13

Jan is the kind of person who will make sure you hold the CrossFit standard. She shows up, puts in the work, and inspires those around her to do the same. Her consistency, attitude, and commitment help make Instinct the community it is today.

Congratulations, Jan, and thank you for everything you bring to the Instinct community. Your commitment, leadership, and example don’t go unnoticed.

Here’s to the next milestone. 💛🖤

A huge thank you to Nick and the team at The Hive for stepping in and helping us secure a venue at short notice. At Instinct we cater to everyone.
From our elite athletes chasing performance, to those still learning the basics and building confidence.

We break movements down to meet you where you’re at. Making training challenging enough to grow, but not so overwhelming that you feel left behind.

No matter your level, there’s a place for you here.

A special Mother’s Day message, from some of our mums here at Instinct.

We see you, showing up on days you’re exhausted, when your cup feels empty and when life feels overwhelming. This is your reminder that taking time for yourself is not selfish, that hour for YOU matters.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums in our community.

Cold mornings won’t stop us 🥶

The early morning classes were on 🔥 with this Clean & Jerk complex. This was a chance for everyone to push the weights up and test themselves after several weeks of developing technique and strength 🏋️‍♀️

So motivating to see everyone step up to the challenge, especially on these cold, dark mornings!!

Last weekend was a big one, and we couldn’t be prouder!

The truth is, none of it would have been possible without an incredible crew of selfless legends who showed up, gave their time, and brought the energy for over 12 hours straight.

You worked hard to make the experience seamless for everyone involved, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Not only did our SWET fam step up, but we also had support from gyms across the Wellington region—proof that this community is something special.

A massive thank you to each and every one of you. We appreciate you more than words can say!

The WLG gym fam is strong! 💛

Ngā mihi,
Team SWET
