Not the race I came for, but still a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thank you @lastsoulultra

Three days later, I’m still struggling to find the right words.
I’m disappointed. More disappointed than I expected to be. Not because I didn’t hit a certain distance, but because I never imagined I would leave this race feeling the way I do right now.

What makes it harder is that the doubts started long before the race did. In the days leading up to it, I felt unusually insecure. I questioned my preparation, compared myself to others and lost sight of what had always drawn me to endurance sports in the first place.
And then race day happened. The heat happened. The injury happened. Some things simply were not in my control.
I can’t change how it went. But I can’t pretend it didn’t affect me either.

This race has left me with more questions than answers. About my relationship with sports, about expectations, about pressure and about where I want to put my focus moving forward.

What I do know is that there’s work to do. Not only physically, but mentally too. In six weeks, I’ll be standing at the start line of Ironman Barcelona. And right now, the challenge isn’t just preparing my body for that day. It’s about finding my way back to the mindset that made me fall in love with all of this in the first place.

I don’t really know yet what to make of this experience.
But I do know how grateful I am that I got the chance to be part of it. @lastsoulultra was one of the most unique events I’ve ever experienced. Huge respect to every athlete who kept showing up lap after lap, and thank you to everyone who made this event possible.
