💃✨ WE’RE STILL SMILING FROM NATIONAL DANCE DAY! ✨🕺

This past Saturday was an incredible day of dance, movement, and community, and we’re still smiling! 🧡

As we look back at some of our favorite moments from National Dance Day 2026, we hope you’ll look back on yours too. 📸✨ What was your favorite class, moment, or memory from the day?

And even if you weren’t able to dance with us this year, we hope you still found a way to MOVE wherever you were. 💃🕺

National Dance Day is all about celebrating the joy of dance, movement, and the community it brings together. 🧡

Thank you, Kern County, for continuing to MOVE with us! ✨

It’s crazy how fast time flies. Today was my last day at @jandmdance after 14 years. Dance has been my life and my world for so many years in the studio, through hundreds of classes and tons of conventions, competitions, and performances. I’m so sad to let go of this chapter of my life, but I’m so excited to see what waits for me and to keep on dancing. Thank you @jandmdance for everything and I will miss you all so much!!

J&M Alumni forever!🩵💜

🚀 Friendship, imagination, and adventure took center stage as Toy Story came to life through dance! 🎶📚

J and M Dance Center and Books in Motion®: DANCE + LITERACY brought the beloved story of Toy Story to the stage through a fun filled performance celebrating teamwork, loyalty, and the joy of being there for one another. 🤠✨

Children watched the story come alive through dance, learned new moves during a mini dance class, created a special craft, and experienced the magic of reading in an unforgettable way. 🌟

Books in Motion® is incredibly grateful to J and M Dance Center for sharing their time and talent with our community while celebrating dance and inspiring children to read! 🙌

📖 Books in Motion® is an award nominated, evidence based FREE summer program that encourages reading through live dance performances, mini dance classes, crafts, and free books.

Special thanks to @RussosBooks for helping us place FREE books into the hands of thousands of children, @ilckc_dhh for providing American Sign Language services for select performances, and @shafterlearningcenter for welcoming us into your space!
