An extravagance! We are already overdone with soup plates and under plates but impossible to resist this Herend set of six spotted in @fordovaantik here in Budapest. What makes them intriguing is that they belong to the period dating from 1940 when the Herend company was nationalised and original designs were simplified to make for cheaper and, therefore, increased production. These are most likely of the 1960s. #herend #finechina #nationalisation #hungary
