SMILE 😊

What’s not to smile about when you are cuddling a gorgeous mini dachshund 🐾🐾🥰

And, sat at the wonderful @truroartsco … outside in their gorgeous courtyard, in the sunshine…( just before the mahoosive thunderstorm )

Had the best oat chai latté and omg the vegan sandwich 💋

Then to top it all off…. I browsed the art shop and bought just what I was after! 10/10 ✅
Thanks @truroartsco

Thoughtful Thursday
But trying not to be so thoughtful and decisive in my painting today.

Today I’ve been working on freeing up myself when painting.
I’ve actually tried to not be thoughtful!
I’m at the beginning of a long journey …..
I have 2 works from today which are influenced by Bodmin Moor.

Painting one “Bodmin #1” is purely acrylic paint and depicts the shapes as I look out of my window.

Painting two is “Bodmin #2” (very original 🤣) started with acrylic paints and was topped off with oil pastels.
This is influenced by my memories of walking on Bodmin Moor.

I’m fascinated by the shapes and sizes of the rocks. Thinking about all of the different animals and people over time whom have walked upon them, touched them, stood on top of the Tor, looked out at the sea! It leaves me speechless 😶

I haven’t decided on a favourite palette, but this will come with practice.
I may still add some fine line work to give recognition to the craggy textures of the beautiful stones.

Out enjoying where we live
Just taking in the beautiful views locally
Enjoying some vitamin sea
Lucky to live in such a beautiful area of the UK.
We were going to go swimming… but the recent sewage spillages (thanks @surfersagainstsewage for the tip off!) into our beautiful local bays put an end to that! Thanks @southwestwater ☹️
