Bolero UEC Gravel Championship 2026 4th AG - Houffalize 🇧🇪

Super happy to come away with 4th in 45-49. Incredibly strong women’s field on a tough course 141km 2700m elevation.
As well as suffering I still enjoyed it and managed the laps as well as I could. Steady start up a 12.4% average climb which was followed by a few more climbs. A total of 30 climbs at various gradients throughout the 141km.
These efforts and racing can’t be done without the amazing support around me. @kildonan_jim for making sure the bike was dialled in to perfection at the @breakpadbike bike shop.

Thank you @janeabarr & @barzo15 for sharing the travel and company. You guys are awesome 🤩
Thank you 🙏

Gralloch #4 16th May 2026

What a day it was :-)

Incredible buzz around SW Scotland and Gatehouse of Fleet, you could say my home from home ground.
The forecast was looking cold and damp, which was different from the last couple of years wall to wall sunshine and dust! So, 18 degrees cooler than last year was actually perfect conditions with little wind.
I’d had a couple of reccies with @frankielochrie and @muir_dredd and I know how brutal this course can be, it’s an absolute classic course and so beautiful.
The Legs felt good up the first couple of climbs from the start line.
I focused on fuelling and conserving energy, finding a group that I could maintain a good pace with.
We stuck together through the 110km & everyone worked together taking turns at the front.
It came down to a sprint finish for 🥉 with @janeabarr a strong cyclist & friend and pushed each other hard to the line.

The @grallochgravel atmosphere in the event arena was super and buzzing vibes all around. Fantastic support from the sidelines.
Great to have @advance_cycle_coaching @lee_eaton_advance_cc at the Gralloch & podium with them present.
I hope @gatehouseoffleet get the go ahead to run this every year @dumfries_and_galloway_council need to sit up and listen!
Thank you to everyone involved.
Special shout out to @breakpadbike @advance_cycle_coaching @lee_eaton_advance_cc @vittoriauk_tyres @3bconstructionltd @torqfitness #unbonkable
I wouldn’t be able to do this without their amazing time and support 👌👍🥉
