SINGAPORE!!! Pretty Ugly is returning for 3 nights only & we open in ONE WEEK! What are you waiting for? Get your tickets at the link in my bio before they’re all gone!!

Fresh off sold-out and critically acclaimed performances in Singapore, Sydney and London, this ‘taut, tender show that grapples with big themes’ (Crystalwords) returns to Singapore for 3 nights only.

Theo feels pretty… sometimes
Theo feels ugly… a lot

Pretty Ugly is about what happens when Theo decides enough is enough. Blending song and story, this solo show tackles inner-demons we all encounter: the ones that tell us we’re not attractive enough.

Expect an eclectic array of your favourite musical theatre songs reinterpreted plus plenty of laughs (and potentially tears) as Theo charts his adolescence in Singapore and adventures across the world.

🗓 Thu 10th- Sat 12th September, 7:30pm
📍Blujaz, Haji Lane
💰Standard: 32.54$, Student: $27.31

Praise for the show:

★ ★ ★ ★ “Sincere, vulnerable coming-of-age musical revue that captures a young artist finding themselves” - Bakchormeeboy

“…chatty and vulnerable, sassy and searing all at once… Part of the beauty of this show is that it […] seeks to uplift and celebrate all who witness it. You will leave feeling a lot less ugly.” - Naeem Kapadia

“a warm and honest exploration of how it feels to go through life feeling unattractive and looking for love”
- Azura Farid, Critics Circle Blog

One week since our last show already?!🫀

Eternally grateful for paparazzi @danielchaiguitar for taking these AND compiling the edits for me that have more 🎻😭, knowing that I love documenting as mamarazzi 🤭🙇🏻‍♀️

If I could share the whole show I would, coz all the songs and cast are really fantastic 💖

• I really love playing 🎻 and it’s one of the most fun, intimate and beautiful ways of learning, expressing and sharing myself 🥲 with others 🙏🏻

𝘓𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘉𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 29 July - 16 Aug. What a ride with this wonderful band, cast, crew and the @singaporerepertorytheatre team 🔥 Had to take a few days to gather my thoughts. Without a doubt this will go down as one of the most memorable musical productions I’ve been in ♥️ With many old friends to hang with and made quite a few new ones as well. (Not to mention the other friends from other shows we bumped into in the few weeks that we were at the Esplanade.)

Posting mostly behind the scenes stuff, many from the orchestral pit POV. (Our Chief Archival Officer (CAO) @christinazhouxx has posted extensive footage of and around the show 😄)

Thank you Dan Glover for leading the music team and @joel_nah for helming the podium. To all my friends, thank you for the music, food and laughter. IG has a limit so apologies for not being able to tag everyone 🥲

(Special thanks to Daryl Tay for sitting in during sitzprobe 🙏🏻).

Thanks to all who contributed videos and photos 🔥

And finally, thanks to everyone who came to the show 🙏🏻

Our last time: “You’ve had your fun, our work here is done. We’re setting you free, so go on and be
Yeah, go on and be, be, be and be Legally Blonde!”💖😭🥲

This is by far the most visceral experience I’ve ever had in my life while making music. Nothing of this magnitude. 🫀What. A. Journey. And to think that all of us managed to pull through and created all of these together the past few months 😭 Body was not in the best of health and it was a bittersweet relief that it was over! @srt_singaporerepertorytheatre

I’m not done sharing.. 🙇🏻‍♀️ sorry couldn’t tag everyone.. It’s almost like a grieving process now… 🥲
