Another look inside last week’s @us_mexa 100Summit in Mexico City.

Throughout the Summit, our delegation had the opportunity to meet directly with government and economic leaders representing Mexico City, Morelos, and Chiapas alongside conversations with business leaders from across the U.S. and Mexico.

But one of the biggest questions I’ve gotten since returning is:

“What was the trip actually for?”

The answer: we intentionally design these delegations to bring leaders from the public and private sectors into the same rooms to build trusted relationships, better understand opportunities on both sides of the border, and create pathways for trade, investment, innovation, and long-term collaboration.

It’s about giving companies access to conversations they may otherwise never have or helping to speed up the process.

It’s about connecting the right people across industries, governments, and markets.

And most importantly, it’s about helping the delegates turn those conversations into partnerships and opportunities that continue after the summit.

That’s the work.

And last week was only one small piece of it.
