Brewing Stone Soup ~ Creating the Witch Community of Your Dreams

Do you long for a coven, a magical circle, a local WitchCamp, or people to celebrate the sabbats with? How do we start with just a stone and a cauldron and call in a community around us to brew the soup of our dreams?

WorldWide WitchCamp is a mystical three days a year between-the-worlds event where we create and experience Reclaiming community across the globe. How could we take some of that home with us? What is your cauldron? What is your ingredient? What are you calling out for?

In this path we will explore our personal needs and desires for magical community. We’ll aim to develop tools and create a map to move forward with our dreams. We’ll dive into the nuts and bolts of consensus, then use consensus in real time to decide what activities and content to explore the following day. For example: somatic embodiment tools, sharing our visions, exploring our sense of belonging, finding allies, working with Iron and Pearl, community Q & A, and moving from inspiration to a plan. On the third day we’ll work magic together and support each other to create plans of action as we get ready to serve the soup!

Before Empires, there were Mothers.

The Grandmothers.
Our Fore-Mothers.
Our Ancient Primordial Wise Ones to whom we belong.

They held us in their imaginations, dreams, desires, and knowing long before what Empire names Nation or State or Civilisation. Patriarchy has for too long obscured, demonised, and oppressed women — and with them, all that is cast as feminine: all that is deemed too wet, too dark, too sensuous, too erotic. The waters must be controlled. Sexuality must be owned. Life itself becomes the recourse of the dominator.

Patriarchy and Empire invisibilise the Ancient Mothers.
And yet — They remain.

We come to Them in silence and stillness, in motion and meaning, in power and poetry we come.

Ours is a gathering of listening.
Of remembering.
Of reckoning with what is.

We choose to look directly into the devastating wreckage and hold each other as we dare to conjure something else — something from before, and something new.

The Serpent devours Her Own Tail.
The Grandmothers are our Grandchildren.

So how will we tend the worlds?

We come to enact prophecy — not far away, but in our bodies, and through our longing to share life with one another. We come to weave between the worlds. To summon dreams into reality.
