Feeling blue because we are officially out of yahwehs 😢💙

I am so thankful for this past weekend of so many hugs, tears, laughter, music, pictures, memories, and bonds that will last a lifetime. I was so blessed to have gotten the opportunity to lead alongside 9 other absolutely amazing teen leaders and all of our wonderful adults leaders too! I am also so beyond grateful that we were sent the best retreatents. I’m so proud of all the chances people took and growth that everyone on k53 showed this past weekend.

Shoutout to our k51 leaders btw bc they truly set a stellar example for all of us in what a good leader looks like 😉

Wishing that I could say ‘same time next year’ again but bittersweet as it is, it’s time to pass the torch. Thank you K53 for everything 🥹

I love you forever kairos,
Riley ❣️

A year ago on February 13th, I went to Kairos. The only difference was that I came into that one as a retreatant. Fast forward a year from that retreat I became a leader. That’s only the surface of it all. On the outside it seems like a quick transition, but it was lead by many months of hardships, challenges, and adversities. Moments of purpose being felt, and moments of purpose being questioned. Regardless of all the downs there were many ups and that’s what counted. The downs only led to a strength I didn’t know I would achieve in my relationship with God. Later God would prepare me to be the leader that he needed me to be for these kind souls. He put me in a spot where I can reflect on the past year and see how all the questionable moments finally made sense. That he’s an all knowing God and that his plan never fails. Now it’s time to talk about this year’s retreat. Never did I think I would end up learning more about myself and my relationship with God through these retreatants then I would end up teaching them 😂. That’s how great they’ve been. I’ve been so blessed to have these retreatants be added to our growing family of Kairos and how much greater we are now. Now that this time in K53 has passed I wish I could relive every moment, but for now I can only reflect and think of every moment and that will always be good enough for me. God put me in the right place with the right people. The transition into college won’t be easy, but I have even more to remember by because of how good God is. It’s up to the rest of you whether deciding if you want to embrace what Kairos is and see for yourself how great of an impact it has on your life. As for our retreatants it’s up to you to lead the future-coming retreatants and to give them a warm welcome and experience here at Kairos. That’s K53 signing out ✌️

Ad maiorem Dei Gloriam

Words will never be able to express the gratitude I have for kairos and the amazing community at Saint Anne’s. These people have shaped me into the man I am today and I don’t know what life would look like without them. Eternally grateful, keep it real k51 🤙

K51.
Man I don’t even know where to start. Ever since the summer before my sophomore year I was beginning to follow God. For as little as I knew about God, he yet had so much in store for me. For those 1 and a half years I was going through some of the biggest struggles in my life. Hardships, struggles and comfort of sin, distancing myself —basically running away from the Lord at times. But yet, the Lord, who is so forgiving, still chose to love me, held his plan he had for me with passion, forgave me on my bad days, good days, and days where everything was silent. There’s been times where my relationship has been at an all time high, but also an all time low. And that’s what’s so tricky about this journey I’ve had so far with God, but it was all so worth it. The Lord had knew what he had in store for me when he put me up to this retreat. What I had felt in this retreat is like nothing I’ve felt before. I’ve felt things I never knew I could feel before. A relief that not only did I feel physically, but emotionally, and spiritually. He has freed me from so many sins and demons. And the most important part is he’s given me a strong and faithful community now. Shoutout to my small group leaders Andy, Cashlin, and Theresa. Also a shoutout to my small group retreat friends. Sarah, Piper, John, and Jane. I’ve made so many strong connections and I know the Lord has so much more planned for me. At last to mention is for the love I have to my parents. Thank you for everything you’ve done to support me through this retreat (I love you guys).
