Did you know Broadway had this?!

Maisy Daisy 🌱🌼

By Jane Reväe Mcwhirter, located behind The Broadway Theatre.

“Maisy Daisy, the charming floral humanoid, enjoys tea with her baby bouquet on a sunny afternoon. In her quest to reconnect with third spaces—those comfortable spots beyond home and work— she sits, sips tea, reads, people watches and tries to take a break from the daily grind. This moment is further enhanced by the company of two delightful, plump pigeons cooing sweetly nearby. The iconic Broadway poster stand in the background showcases several posters for upcoming sales, artistic events, and fun flyers.”

My friend Nikki @cantstopthedancingchicken is putting together an art show in the back room of the shop! Hope you can make it by :)

Here’s what she says about it:

“Coming up! I’m putting together this art show in the back room of @studio_1929, featuring the work of myself and four wonderful Saskatoon artists.

The arrival of spring is about energy and abundance, so I’d like to offer up some space to other artists who might like to display a single work. If you have a floral/botanical/springtime piece that you’re interested in displaying, DM me or email nksirett@gmail.com. At the exhibit, there will also be a “Community Garden” area in which visitors can draw a plant to add to a communal piece.

Join us for the opening reception on April 24th, 6 pm - 8 pm, or visit the exhibit from April 24th - May 16th, during shop hours: Wed -Sat 11 am - 5 pm. 🤍”
