This is my friend Janet. Janet and I have been best friends since we were 15 years old we have worn each other’s clothes shared meals, scaped up busfare, tried to be grown to fast and gotten into trouble together. Janet is the most down-to-earth person you will ever meet but Janet is also the girl who fought the high school bully that was a year older than us and gained respect from the entire class! I taught Janet how to drive illegally because I didn’t have a drivers license. We’ve walked miles on summer nights just to hang out with each other, We’ve shared more laughter than tears and I love this girl. This is 40+ years of friendship and I’m talking about real relationship! We’ve been there for each other through the worst of times And guess what y’all? MY FRIEND BOUGHT A HOUSE!! Although I’m in Arkansas I was able to get a local realtor and Friend Michelle to partner with me to help Janet find her home and close the deal. I’m so proud of her. And it wasn’t an easy deal. But she hung in there.Janet I’m so proud of you. knowing how we came up makes our very existence scream of God! Can’t wait to sit out on that patio! I celebrate you so big!!!

My current situation has allowed me to truly understand and appreciate how blessed I was (and still am). I have two beautiful mothers inside and out. One gave birth to me, the other by marriage. Both of these women set an excellent example for me, especially when it comes to blending families, coparenting, and loving your children unconditionally. I just want to thank them for showing me how to love my little ladies unconditionally. I had no other choice based on the precedent they set.
