THANK YOU FOR A BEAUTIFUL SEASON 01 💜⭐️

it’s almost been 1 week since our season finale episode, held at @transmissionstudios58 and we are still coming down from such a phenomenal high. thank you, thank you, thank you for believing a project into fruition. without your support, your encouraging comments, your tight hugs and your energy donated, CTRL+ALT+BEAT season 01 wouldn’t be what it is, what it has become. from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for joining the journey with us.

these moments were captured by @selcallum for @streetvoicesto’s newest article: Connection Over Clickbait. thank you Selina for capturing the evening in such a beautiful and authentic way — link is in our bio to read the full piece of work 🔗

stay tuned for more moments, more updates and more opportunities for connection 💜

I had the opportunity to attend the Season 01 finale live taping of CTRL+ALT+BEAT (@ctrlaltbeatt), and I left the studio feeling incredibly inspired. 🎥✨

From the energy of the live audience to the conversations, performance by @whoisamaka and impressive production value, the night brought me right back to the days of MuchMusic and BET’s 106 & Park, but with a new generation and an incredible women-powered team behind it all. 💜

What stayed with me most was seeing the work happening behind the cameras. Creator, Producer and Host Chelsi Campbell (@chelsi_campbell) and Director and Producer Tisania (@tiisania), alongside an all-women crew, are building something special with limited resources, a lot of sacrifice and an even bigger commitment to creating space for artists and community.

Chelsi also shared a vulnerable moment with the audience about what it really takes to keep an independent production like this going, something that resonated deeply with me as someone who also knows what it means to personally invest in a creative vision.

I wrote about the experience, the nostalgia, the girl power and why spaces like CTRL+ALT+BEAT matter.

Spent two overnights at Sephora directing and filming a episodic series where beauty influencers bring their self care concerns to Sephora Beauty Advisors for a little Shelf Help. We had a small but mighty crew who worked their magic and talent who absolutely understood the assignment. Turns out sometimes the best therapy really is a little retail therapy.

Thank you Revolt Camera and ARRI Rental for the gear! Shot on Sony FX6s with Sigmas. We also put the new ARRI Omni Bar to the test recreating the iconic mirror lights of the Sephora Beauty Bar.
