My twenty-five year old self caught up with my forty-five year old self and inception 🪞 occurred in Oregon this weekend.

I visited my angel 😇 Jan Franklin on her multi-acre ranch. She and her husband raise cows 🐄 and tend to their land and it gave me a new perspective on country life and retirement.

After an strong 💪 early morning hike 🏔️ w my friend Morgan, I had to take a quick tour of the University of Oregon campus and see the business 📊 school and the law ⚖️ school still standing tall. It's crazy that I don't know anyone in those buildings anymore but I guess that's what happens after 20 years 😂

The centerpiece of my visit was to see my Godsons play HS JV and Varsity basketball 🏀 and fulfill a promise made to them a few years ago at a Dodger ⚾️ game. I also got to see my amazing friend Cass who just happens to live in the visiting city of Sisters.

Then it was onto Portland to see my brother-cousin Edwin "EDubble" Redway, the fantastic newest Executive Chef of the Portland Trail Blazers!!! 🥾 🔥 🏀 So proud to witness his continued success from selling lemonade outside our grandmothers home to being drafted by an NBA team as a Chef 🧑‍🍳. 🫡 Keep your head to the sky bc there are no limits to your success. Buckets! 🪣

S/O to one of my best friends Mr. Andy Armstrong and his whole family.

Thank you Oregon for continuing to bless me w great memories and for taking care of wonderful people. See you soon. 🔜

Last weekend, I returned to Eugene, Oregon to celebrate the retirement of one of my favorite people in the world, the legendary Jan Franklin (@janimal90), the House Mother for the young men at @betathetapi at the University of Oregon for 27 years (1997-2024). I served as Graduate Advisor from 05-09.

Jan is everyone's second Mom and during her tenure she fed over 660 members...5x a week, twice a day. Not to mention weekend brunches and countless other guests, family members, and girlfriends.

Over 175 people gathered to celebrate her well-deserved retirement and return the love she gave us.

I had many "Back to the Future" moments, seeing folks and sights I hadn't seen in years...I also got to hang out with my good friends from undergrad and their children who are my Godsons (Easy and Cedar).

Shout out to everyone in the video!
I'm still feeling the love.

Thank you and Go DUCKS! 🦆

Last Saturday, we celebrated the tremendous amount of work and dedication our former house mom @janimal90 has given to the Beta Rho chapter. Jan Franklin’s positive impact has been key in the development of our Men of Principle, and her values will persist for years to come. We love you Jan!!! 🐉
