'CELEBRATION OF LIFE' ~ #1996 》》 an event invite to key funders and potential supporters. The second event hosted with Aileen Getty. We were lucky to have Gettys involvement but her main focus was on meeting Diana. We were able to arrange this with the Palace as we had a relationship with Diana as she would often visit women and children from the group. Hello Magazine sponsored the event and paid for the printed invite, having secured an interview with Aileen. No monies were generated from the evening but instead a warm, powerful and emotional sharing of experiences by young women living with HIV. Hosted by @brendaemmanus who later would become a Patron, speaker and activist @emmacolepositivevoice and Truce, @michelleescoffery @janinelinton voices filled the venue with love and hope. They too were to become Patrons. What an absolute pleasure and honour to be invited to the launch of #theascensionyears #exhibition .. A collection of never publicly seen iconic photographic collection from #photohistorian @teedilla71 ‘s #vault .. powerful, intimate and emotive .. A reminder to me that I was there .. Honoured that Tee choose to exhibit a candid portrait he captured of me at T.R.U.C.E’s very first videoshoot back in 1994 which he reminded me was directed by #guyritchie for our first single #treaturight .. This is OUR history.. These are OUR moments .. About last night….
Still Processing..

I am in deep gratitude to @rbleu1of1 and the whole @since93official team for putting on a fantastic evening to honour Black executives in the music industry of which @trenton_hl and I were recipients! Wow!!! All I can say is THANK YOU!

I’ve been in this music game for about 30 years now. As many of you may know, I’m not a talker, I’m a doer!
Coming from a musical family, the values of discipline & consistency our Father George Escoffery instilled in us, with tenacity and grace instilled by our Mother Millie Escoffery has carried me all the way through my life & career.
Joining girl group TRUCE honed my skills as a songwriter and sparked my passion for the art.
Noticing that we did not have adequate platforms to showcase our talents, I founded live music and spoken word night ‘Kindred Spirit’ which provided opportunities for amazing talent to be seen and heard. I started this night in honour of my sister Sandra Escoffery who taught me to write songs and love words.
I am an advocate for laying a path for future talent so their way can be smoother than ours. I Partly did this through education, lecturing on Commercial Songwriting.

Joining the @prsformusic board was not a light decision at all.. I’m invested in making a true, lasting difference. Being elected President of the Member’s Council in 2021 has afforded me great opportunities, enabling me to consult on DEI and spearhead initiatives like PRS Member’s Days which now happen across the country as-well as focus on international strategy which has recently taken ‘The Conduit’ @iammsjpl and I to Nigeria 🇳🇬 to seek opportunities to educate, partner and inspire a new generation of music makers, as JPL says, encourage ‘good housekeeping’ & ‘best practice’
I don’t do things by halves and am only invested in the bigger picture and highest good of ALL. I want us ALL to WIN!!! So to be recognised and honoured in this way has really touched my ♥️
I’m not new to this and i’m not nearly done! LOVE to my people who hold me accountable & thank you to my benevolent Ancestors whose shoulders I stand upon!
