Last night’s dinner at Animae in San Diego was next level, but the most important part wasn’t just the food — it was sharing it with great friends to celebrate Deb’s birthday.

So much great conversation and a lot of laughter… the perfect combination for an unforgettable night.

Huge shoutout to Chef Tara Monsod and owner Brian Malarkey for creating one of the most exciting dining experiences in the city. Tara’s talent is undeniable — a James Beard Award nominee three years in a row, and you can taste it in every bite.

Standout dishes that absolutely stole the show:

LOBSTER PALABOK
Bucatini pasta, chicharron crumble, trout roe — rich, bold, and completely addictive.

HUNAN LAMB CHOPS
Cumin, Szechuan peppercorn, cilantro cream — spicy, aromatic, and perfectly cooked.

PORK TOMAHAWK TOCINO
Sweet beet glaze, mango sawsawan — sweet, savory, and wildly flavorful.

Amazing food, amazing friends, and a night filled with laughter — the perfect recipe for a birthday celebration.

Happy Birthday, Deb!
