Listen Up! The next edition of Audible Artworks will take place on 12 October 15:00 on radio WORM. We will listen to the following recording of Living Breathing Spaces – a product of collective hearts – which took place on December 11, 2025. We were invited to transform the building of Cultuur&Campus Putselaan, Rotterdam, into what we wish it to be: a place of human connection, welcoming authenticity, expression and collective creativity.

During this evening we made a collective performance-improvisation ´Everything on this Earth is interconnected’, evolving and sounding for almost 2 hours, guided by the practices of four Rotterdam-based artists: Luke Deane (voice exploration, piano, music), Rohiet Tjon Poen Gie (dance exploration, choreography), Froggr Arafat (sound exploration, flutes, soundscapes) & Dorota Márföldi-Matejová (movement and sound exploration, flutes, voice) & the poetry written by all the bodies & souls present. All of this was made possible thanks to supporting, organising and welcoming by Janneke Absil, Kim Bouvy, Dorota Márföldi-Matejová & Katy Taraporevala, in collaboration with Afrikaanderwijk Cooperation.

Samen met Mustapha Eaisaouiyen nam zij ons mee tijdens: UNEARTHING TWEEBOSBUURT: AN INTERACTIVE WALKSHOP

Tijdens het slot event in diezelfde week, de radioshow ‘Studio for Collective Learning for a Shared and Just City’, onthulden we ook Tânia’s tekeningen, speciaal gemaakt voor het Studio Program. We delen ze binnenkort!

Dank aan iedereen die erbij was

Closing Celebration: live-broadcast Radio ‘Studio for Collective Learning’
After a year of shared moments and learnings we invite you to join us one last time on Thursday 16 April from 19.00-21.00 for the closing event of the Studio for Collective Learning at Cultuur&Campus Putselaan.

During a live radio-broadcast, we will look back on the series of small-scale gatherings curated and organized by the Afrikaanderwijk Cooperative for Cultuur&Campus Putselaan as it unfolded during the past year. Together, we explored informal and collective modes of learning through tours, lectures, walks, performances, classes, workshops, and assemblies in diverse spaces: open-air sites, a library, a school, a garden, and other neighbourhood places. It created opportunities for collective study and practical exchange, connecting cooperative members, students, researchers, and neighbors.

This radio show (attend it live or online) is a festive moment to come together and look back at some of the highlights: What did we learn? What was the Studio for Collective Learning, or maybe even: what would we like it to be?

With live and recorded contributions by Mustapha Eaisaouiyen, Davarian Baldwin, the Cooperative Consultancy Buro, Annet van Otterloo, Vanessa Umboh, Jiska Engelbert, Joshua van den Ham, Tânia A. Cardoso, Natasha Taylor, Jamila, Dorota Márföldi-Matejová, Kate Price, SPIN Collective, Juliette Douet, Carla Arcos Mathon, and Senka Milutinović.

The live audience is warmly invited to join for a festive drink after the broadcast!

Programmed by Kim Bouvy, Katayun Taraporevala, Janneke Absil
Presented by Kim Bouvy & Katayun Taraporevala
Hosted by Joshua Thies (RAAR Radio)
Jingle by Dorota Márföldi-Matejová, Froggr Arafat, Luke Deane

We are excited to announce the launch of 𝐓𝐀𝐒𝐑𝐀𝐅𝐓, a research project that interrogates the modern material and industrial heritage in Morocco and the Netherlands and explores the radical intersection of innovation, sovereignty, and ancestral knowledge for the creation of locally sustainable (new) bio-materials.

Originally conceived by @az_oor_ in dialogue with @free_masoero , 𝐓𝐀𝐒𝐑𝐀𝐅𝐓 proposes a radical ecology of repair, one where ancestral Amazigh wisdom and diasporic knowledge pollinates material innovation to forge pathways beyond extractivism. Held by, and extending the work developed in the speculative, community garden of Dar Bellarj by QANAT, the Grondstoffenstation of Afrikaanderwijk Cooperative (Rotterdam) and Future Materials at the Jan van Eyck Academie (Maastricht), 𝐓𝐀𝐒𝐑𝐀𝐅𝐓 seeks to reclaim, reanimate, and reimagine material knowledge systems as blueprints for a post-carbon, post-plastic future.

We look back on 2025, with heavy and full hearts. To everyone who cooked, cleaned, chopped, donated, delivered, organized, brainstormed, showed up, or simply shared the table: thank you, thank you!

2025 was made with your hands and your solidarity. From our own community dinners to the vital spaces we were invited to. It was a year of hard work, and it is beautiful because of you. May the coming year be filled with continued care, stubborn joy, and the kind of resistance that builds a world where everyone is fed, housed, and truly free.

Thank you to @homesick_restaurant for weaving our bread network, @rdamfrontforliberation @cultural.workers.unite @gemaalopzuid for organising the Football Tournament of Resistance, @coloredqollective for the “Let’s Talk About Family” symposium, our comrades at @jms.legacy , @framerframed , @roodkapje_rotterdam , @leeszaalwest and @wijkcooperatie for facilitating us through the year, the fighters of @buurtoren_ and @geeftegengas, @snackbarfrieda, @veto.oorlog @survivalinfrastructures and the @thesolidaritycollective_org , @balikbayan.nl @iliadacharalambous for your education and @jannekeabsil for being the cutest photographer in the city, and so many more we couldn’t possibly all name.

In fire and gratitude,
The Little Red Kitchen 🍅❤️✊

Afri ❤

Defending homes when evictions come. Protecting communities against deportations. Feeding each other when food is weaponized. All while the Dutch state fuels violence, we hold each other, and we are never out of love.

From Palestine, to the Sahel to Rotterdam, people are always rising.

❤️ This was just a burst of love for the neighbourhood but now I’m here:

Last week we celebrated our 10-year anniversary — and more importantly, all the incredible creatives, clients, friends, and models we’ve had the pleasure of working with along the way.

We’re grateful to our clients for the trust they place in us, to bring bold and beautiful projects to life. And to our team: thank you for always going that extra mile.

We believe that real magic happens when you work with talented people and genuinely click — and that belief was confirmed on our unforgettable party night. Thank you all for making it so special. Here’s to the next ten! 🥂✨
