BLUEFINGER VOL. 2
SONG SPOTLIGHT: EXIT STRATEGY

Sjors.

September was the month I released a song about home, and apparently spent the rest of it collecting little reminders of what that actually means. 🌿✨

There was Lavender & Chamomile, shows, friends, baking, books, long walks, ridiculous moments and a few things I missed too.

I think I’m slowly learning that home is less of a place and more a collection of people, rituals and tiny familiar things.

What made September feel a little like home to you?

Hi friends! On October 28th I’ll be releasing my first full album. It’s an all-original instrumental album called Crosshaven. And pre-orders are available right now on Bandcamp!! (Link in bio) 🎶

This album is a collection of tunes I wrote throughout the past several years while navigating life, including a move from the US to Europe (first to Ireland and then to the Netherlands) and a faith transition. Many of the tunes weren’t written with the intention of sharing them; most started as quick phone recordings of melodies that crossed my mind while life was happening around me. In the past couple of years I’ve felt inspired to gather the tunes and record them in an honest and authentic way, out of gratitude for the story God has written in my life up to this point.

I’m honored to be joined on the album by incredible musicians from throughout Europe and the US. Janos Koolen, Rens van der Zalm, Tyler Griffith, Ondra Kozák, Tijmen Veelenturf, Lukas Grabe, and Owen Schinkel. Plus a special appearance from one my very favorite players today, Scott Napier. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Janos Koolen at Studio Doornenburg. The artwork for the album was hand-painted by dad, Dan Anderson.

If you want to help me out with this release, please consider purchasing the album. This helps me so much! Pre-orders are available now on Bandcamp. Physical copies are available too, featuring more great artwork from my dad. If you only want a physical copy, DM me!

This project was made possible in part by support from the @senarechten Music Production Fund.

And before you mandolin nerds have to ask, I recorded it on a 2018 Ellis F5 Special and one song on a @bulas_instruments octave mandolin 😉

Grateful!
