I received the Second Prize and the Audience Prize at the MA Harpsichord competition in Brugge!!! Since my arrival to Basel 6 years ago this is indeed one of the most incredible and inspiring milestones in my career. It was an absolute pleasure to play - amazing public, beautiful halls, wonderful music and musicians - friends, colleagues, jury members, organizers of the competition and festival! So many people asked me when and if I come back - this is the most valuable thing a musician can hear back. Besides the audience it is an honor to be one of the winners of the most important harpsichord competition in the world! This is for me an inspiration to concentrate on the concerts, recordings and other public activities which were delayed while I was preparing for the competitions. Thank you so much!

This wouldn’t be possible at all without my dearest teacher @harpsicorti , who helped me become the musician I am and of course without Schola Cantorum Basiliensis where I studied this last 6 years. I’m endlessly grateful to my incredible wife @carlottapupulin and my parents @viktoriia.kokoshynska who believed and supported me more than anybody else. Many thanks to my wonderful friends who supported, listened and played with me during the preparation. I share all my gratitude to everybody who was with me on my way!

After the competition many people asked me what are my plans. Well, now I’m looking forward to see you all on the 9th of September for my solo recital in Basel with a very special program. I’m planing to do some video recordings and to present many more interesting programs, to play as much concerts as I can, so stay tuned!

One more thing, and I think the most important, is how many people did come and ask me about Ukraine, the war, my family, and were even so specific to ask about our musicologist Ivan Kuzminskyi who fall in the war recently… It is incredibly touching to see people of culture so deeply rooting for Ukraine and our cause of victory, to see how impressed they are with how many people of culture among others defend Ukraine.

Big hugs and looking forward to see you on the 9th September in Basel and later in the future concerts!

For the 3rd time at MA Festival:
In 2019, the foghorns sounded during VéloBaroque. In 2021 I wrote the compulsary works for the MA competition melodic instruments and this year IMAGO MUNDI plays Punto in Aria 1,2 &3.

When Sofie Van den Eynde asked me to write songs about sleep, I immediately thought of the first 20 pages of À 𝘭𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘶 𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘴 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘥𝘶 which describe the state between sleep and wakefulness:

𝘘𝘶𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘫𝘦 𝘮' é𝘷𝘦𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘶 𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘶 𝘥𝘦 𝘭𝘢 𝘯𝘶𝘪𝘵, 𝘫𝘦 𝘯𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘪𝘴 𝘮ê𝘮𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘶 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘲𝘶𝘪 𝘫' é𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘴 ; 𝘫'𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘦𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘴𝘢 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘵é 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘪è𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘥𝘦 𝘭'𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘭 𝘱𝘦𝘶𝘵 𝘧𝘳é𝘮𝘪𝘳 𝘢𝘶 𝘧𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘥'𝘶𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘭
Unfortunately, that sentence has been lost in function of the music but a few others survived.

"Triptyque a soigneusement évité cet écueil du métissage débridé : à aucun moment les figures rythmiques de Bach ne sont dévoyées dans un swing un peu facile. Triptyque, c'est d'abord un disque de musique baroque. Chacun s'exprime dans son univers, dans ce qu'il fait de mieux."
