Evie was so happy to go back to school! She walked in to her new classroom, blew us kisses and never looked back.
She keeps telling us she’s a big girl and I think she might be right. 💛🥲

camp ‘26 was the best experience i’ve ever had! unplugging from social media and my phone all together for 5 days was a really daunting task. if you know me, you know that i have extremely high screen time; so unplugging for a week was really refreshing.

i was honored with the task of reciting Philippians 2:6-11 on stage at KBA in front of 1,529 people. unlike the other 3 students from other churches who took months to memorize their passages, i started 2 days before i had to recite the scripture on stage. at first, i was very overwhelmed and anxious about reciting it. i was scared to mess up in front of so many people, but then i remembered 1 Peter 5:6-7, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your cares on him, because he cares about you.” i casted all my anxieties on the Lord while i was worshiping him, praising him for this opportunity because it’s an opportunity that 4/1529 people got to experience. that’s 0.0026% of the camp.

anyways im rambling and ur probably not reading this but if you are, camp was awesome!!! im so grateful for my friends @samantha_mcguire5 @calyn.mcguire @hassett_walker @phoenixdrennen @bayley.walter and @leighton_loves_jesus . these are the people who talk with me when im going through the hard times in my life and the people who hold me accountable when no one else will, and most of all, these are the people who progress my faith to a level of connectedness with Jesus, especially when we’re together, that i never knew existed.

peace and love 💕

TWO.
Evelyn is joyful, sassy, bright, bold and kind. She loves to make friends, play outside (my animal loving queen!), sing and dance, draw, read, and match her mama. 😌🩷
She is so much fun!
I pray she believes how much value there is to her life, and how much she has changed mine.
Happy birthday, my little ladybug! 🐞 Mommy loves you so much.

One night this week during our bedtime routine, I said “let’s brush our teeth, Queen” and Evelyn responded “Queens!” then cheers-ed my tooth brush.

And that gives you the smallest glimpse at the joy that comes with being Evelyn’s mommy.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the women who are selfless nurturers, caregivers, life changers! 💛

I told Jared today that my heart must be growing softer as I get old because I can’t keep my tears in during church lately.
I said it jokingly but was convicted in the moment that that should certainly be true. As I experience more life, the Gospel is something I can’t fix my eyes on without being moved- and it’s something I can’t look away from.

He was dead, and now He is alive.
I was dead in my sin, yet He called me by my name and now I live with the power of Christ in me.
Thank you, Jesus! Happy Easter!

Evelyn LOVED the snow (and post-snow hot chocolate)! We have weathered this storm without damage or loss of power. We’re together, safe, warm, and well fed. I’ve said many prayers of gratitude these days 💛

Since most of our cards are sitting on the kitchen table instead of in your mailboxes, consider this a sneak peek. 😅
Merry Christmas, friends!
