Four years gone by too fast! My time here at the University of Missouri has given me some of the best memories of my life and allowed me to meet so many amazing people that I have come to consider family. This Friday I will graduate from the world’s number one journalism school with full honors📚

This place will always be my home and I will take it with me wherever my path leads. Thank you Mizzou, thank you Columbia, thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way, and as always, Fight Tiger ☝🏽

4 months ago, I had never been in a fight. Up until that point in my life, I had never even thrown a punch. But I always had this lingering question: How much could I know about myself if I‘ve never been in a fight?

Competing in Mizzou Fight Night was the most difficult thing I’ve done in my life. For 4 months, I worked day in and day out to transform myself into a boxer. I sacrificed so much. I sparred until my nose was bleeding. I went home and cried of frustration. I woke up in the middle of the night with panic attacks because I just didn’t feel like myself. I struggled and wanted to give up more times than I’d care to admit.

But in spite of all that, I never stopped working. And I can confidently say I’m a better man because of that. More than that, I met some incredible people along the way. Coach Sean and the rest of @huletthousegym were some of the most welcoming people I’ve ever met, and taught me the sport with open arms. My training partners pushed me day in and day out, always supporting me, even when I was down. My opponent, @blakeafritz , gave me a hell of a fight and beat me, but still showed immense respect afterwards.

This process has transformed my life and transformed me as a person, and I wouldn’t wanna have it any other way. Thank you @fightnightmiz and everyone that made the event possible, and thank you for the opportunity ❤️ GoFundMe link is still in their bio - go donate and be the difference for a kid battling cancer ❤️
