In a hard fought game against a tough Dynamo team, our boys unfortunately came up short.
Coach Mulamba had this to say, “ Today was tough to take after the performance the lads gave. They left everything on the pitch, I couldn’t be prouder. But this is football and it doesn’t always go your way. It was once said that we do not remember days but moreso we remember moments. This season was filled with special moments as well as heartbreaking ones, that will bind this group together for life. Melvin was and will be the reason we always give a bit more than we think we can, love harder and cherish our times together. Charles Spurgeon said that a good character is the best tombstone, so carve your name on hearts and not in marble. Melvins name is carved in our hearts, the way he played, and the way he lived was a privilege to witness and be apart of. This group will continue to honor him everytime we get to tie our boots. We will be back. Eterno Melvin, we love you.”

Let’s be on-ramps for others so that we can guide them towards the truth and encourage them to accelerate in their faith, instead of being a cul-de-sac where they build up the courage to go and seek the truth but when they get there are forced to stop, turn around, and go back to where they came from.

First, thank you to all the adult leaders who took time off work or away from their families to make this camp what is was and always is for these middle schoolers! Camp would not be what it is without leaders like y’all.
Second, thank you to the high school work crew that gave up a week of their summer to help with everything behind the scenes! Camp events would not have happened without y’all!

One of the best weeks of my life, where we had many students give their lives to Christ, followed by some of the hardest news to swallow… a fatal car accident that killed one of my best buddies and an incredible teammate. It’s hard to believe that this could be apart of Gods perfect plan, but only after one week since Mel’s accident his story has brought up the gospel in more conversations than I could have expected. James 1:2-3 says, “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.” It is import not to blame God for hard times, but to trust that there’s a purpose in what he allows.

Rest in peace Melvin, miss you buddy❤️

A big thank you to @sanantoniofc for honoring our late Melvin Molina prior to kickoff in their matchup with Birmingham Legion FC. It’s great to see the city come together in light of this tragedy.

I didn’t even know how to start writing this because I still can’t believe you are gone and there are no words that can express how we all are feeling right now so I just want to say thank you. Thank you for giving us the honor to call you a brother. Thank you for touching so many lives and inspiring so many people. Thank you for always giving it your best bringing the best out of all of us. Thank you for all those practice sessions, the games, the trips, the jokes, the locker room banter and our dances. Thank you for giving us a championship and for making history together. Thank you for showing us that no matter how hard your life circumstances are if you have a goal and if you give it your all you will accomplish anything you want. You were going places man I know I speak for everyone when I say you are one of the best players to have played with and we will forever feel honored that we got to share the field with you. You leave us with a huge heartbreak but also with a ton of memories. I remember on that last video we are walking and I hugged you and Carlos and we told each other how much we appreciated and loved playing together and that video is exactly how you will receive all of us in heaven and walk us in. You leave us way too soon but I know you are up there balling and dancing with God. Thank you for everything Melvin we will forever be grateful for everything.
