oh Pirate, I love you. this has been a show I’ve wanted to work on since college, and to do it with this cast has been such a joy. from giggling through dance breaks to ad-libbing some of the wackiest things I’ve honestly ever heard, this pirate crew made magic happen onstage every single day, and I’m so grateful to have been apart of it 🖤 thank you all for trusting me with this ‘Sensitive Guy’ and for going along with all the bits I may have added (especially if they were mean, bc I wasn’t allowed to smile until act 2). The sharktooth necklace will live around my car’s mirror until the end of days 🦈

that’s how i became a pirate! 🏴‍☠️⛵️

okay. deep breath. this show is closing and i’m actually gonna sob. like full on dramatic sobbing. how i became a pirate has been the most unhinged, hilarious, heart-filling adventure and i am so sad it’s over. i got to run around yelling about treasure, getting chased on a pirate ship, and singing my heart out about soccer, and being the most dramatic child possible. to my pirate crew—i love y’all more than i love gold 😉. you made every rehearsal feel like a party and every show feel like magic. i have never felt so happy about a show EVER. i’m so lucky i got to do this with you, wonderful humans. to the people who trusted me to be jeremy jacob, THANK YOU. for real. i learned so much and had the best time ever. and to every kid who smiled or danced or yelled “ARRR” in the audience—you’re the reason this was so special. i hope we made you laugh. i hope we made you feel brave. i hope you left wanting to be a pirate. 🏴‍☠️ my heart is full. time to sail into the sunset. ⛵️⚽️ love always, jeremy jacob

Thank you so much to everyone for making this one of the silliest productions I've ever been apart of, at a time where I really needed to be just be silly. Thank you to the production team, cast, and crew for all of the hard work and love poured into this project. To everyone who saw this show, you'll know that it wasn't just about pirates. It was about soccer, teeth, storms, maps, the internet, and the importance of home. It was about being a kid, who has nothing to worry about; who just has fun and then goes home. And for the 90 minutes I was on stage, I got to feel like a kid again. I got to feel at home. And darn it, I got to be a pirate. 🏴‍☠️🫶

A year ago I did not understand this show. I thought the script was cheesy and the music was odd, and I didn’t understand why people liked at all. Despite my uncertainty I still auditioned for it this year. And with the help of a brilliant director, and a cast & crew of some of the most welcoming and supportive people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting; I understood that I was the exact person this show was made for. It was made to show people that despite their mistakes and apprehension, there is always a place in someone's heart that they can still call home. It was made to, if nothing else, bring the Christmas spirit to those who need it most.

I am so grateful I got to end this year with A Christmas Carol. To everyone one that was apart of it, whether you were in the cast, on production team, in the booth, or in the audience; thank you so much.

If you know me at all, you know how much A Christmas Carol means to me. This show has become such an important thing in my life and I am still overwhelmed with joy that I have the privilege of playing Christmas Past. The cast has been working so incredibly hard and I feel so honored to get to have fun with them every day. You have 5 more opportunities to see us bring Christmas cheer! You are not going to want to miss this one!
