@jaredphelannn | 70.3 Chatty

Huge congrats to Jared on finishing his first 70.3 at IRONMAN 70.3 Chattanooga in 5:34:03. Couldn’t be prouder of this effort, Jared is a student of the game and is one of the most dedicated athletes I have the pleasure of coaching when it comes to his execution of the plan week in and week out.

Swim: 37:50
Bike: 2:45:09
Run: 1:59:37

This was not a perfect day by any means, which makes the performance even more impressive. He dealt with faulty aero bars throughout the ride, had a crash near the end of the bike, got back up, and still kept moving forward.

First 70.3 races are always a massive learning experience. You learn how the distance feels, how to manage the day, what works, what needs work, and how to stay composed when things do not go exactly to plan.

Jared handled a lot out there and still put together an amazing performance. Lots of positives. Lots of learning points. And a massive amount to carry forward.

Proud of his effort and now the next chapter begins.

Onto IRONMAN California
