As I now settle down into teaching, I’ve had a better time to reflect on this past marching season. And it is definitely one for the books, I was thrown into the season with plenty of weight on my shoulders and had to find a way to push through despite it. The season had its ups which I will fondly remember (big shoutout to the front ensemble! Sadly I wasn’t much of a picture person this season) but it also had its downs.

I was pushed to grow in ways I didn’t think I would need to, but I had @ava.pigeon and @savi_png to come along for the ride. And I wouldn’t want to have anyone else by my side for the season. Big shoutout to @ethan.paradise.71 for always double checking me on the sets that I called, I am a goldfish some times.

@fusioncore_ has been a place that I am lucky to be able to call home, even when home has never felt more further away. Thank you for allowing me to lead you this year and thank you to all the members that put their trust in me and joined the crazy roller coaster ride. And without it I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to meet all the amazing people in DCI. Big shout out to all the Drum Major’s that I met in January, and those that kept up with me throughout the whole season it meant more than you could realize.

I know after this season that I am more than lucky to be surrounded by so many people who love and care for me, and will have my back when the cards are down. Please know that I would do the same for anyone else too.

I don’t know what’s next in the cards for me but you best keep watching because the show is just starting.

New Jersey, what a way to close out the clinics season 🔥

Our third year partnering with @njmarching was one to remember. From leadership conversations and Drum Major training to marching and visual development, we loved seeing students and educators show up ready to learn, connect, and raise the standard.

Huge thank you to John P. Stevens High School for hosting us and to every student, director, and staff member who made the experience so special.

New Jersey, until next summer. 🎶

“don’t beat yourself up all we gotta do is pivot. and you don’t want to do PC?”

reflecting on the season, it’s crazy to me how an organization i never pictured myself being part of became home. quoted above is a text i received from jared after plan A had fell through and i had no backup plan. i was almost set on taking the season off, but jared was the one who urged me to look into pacific crest and think about giving it a chance.

after my individual audition where, instead of being extremely awkward and uncomfortable, i was cracking jokes and laughing with mark and stuart, i knew that maybe this was a place i wanted to be. i think God’s plan and timing works in the most incredible ways, because a group i hadn’t even thought of auditioning for became home. pacific crest became home.

i’ve tried to write the rest of this for what feels like a couple hundred times now, but i don’t think any words will truly be enough to express the gratitude i have towards this organization. i owe so much to this group, the staff, and the performers for all i have learned and experienced this summer. thank you for accepting me into your family, thank you for giving me a group to call home, and thank you for allowing me to be part of history. thank you pacific crest, you truly are Irresistible.

How LUCKY am I to be tired in pursuit of the challenges of my own choosing.

CV has truly changed my life. From walking into my first audition camp not even 16 yet, to being head drum major the next year. I’m truly so blessed to have been able to serve this corps with my full ability.
Was is easy? absolutely not. But was it so rewarding? 100% yes.

CV taught who I am as a person but it also taught how important a family in drum corps is. I am so lucky to have all the friends that i have met in and out of my corps.

To @rathpsn and @squats.and.tacos30 , thank you for always seeing the potential in me and never giving up on me.

To all of CV thank you for always knowing how to crack a joke and never bring the fun out of drum corps.

To @makgpayne and @emma_grace76 , thank you for always being such amazing supportive older sisters! GA girls 4eve.

To @rjennings_06 , Ik you say we aren’t best friends but i wouldn’t have wanted to annoy anyone else this season!

And To @ian.t1211 thank you for always helping me whenever i needed it even tho you didn’t have to. I wouldn’t have been able to get through my season without you.

Thank you CV for everything. Semper Gumby.

Georgia will forever be home and will forever be on my mind. ❤️💚

What a way to kick off the upcoming season 🎺 🎷

Our second year providing the Silent Command Summer Leadership Experience was filled with meaningful conversations, impactful interactions , and a community of students and educators committed to raising the standard.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, learned with us, and made this year’s experience one to remember. We can’t wait to see how you apply these lessons throughout the season.
