POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I love a lot about being in business, but one of the biggest things is who it forces you to become.

This week I was put on the spot speaking in front of 400+ people on Zoom and another 50–100 in person.

Definitely outside the comfort zone, but that’s where growth happens.

I’m grateful for the friends and senior partners who support me, challenge me, and continue helping me grow.

But the biggest reason I’m excited about what I’m building is simple:

Help people understand how money works, give them access to better strategies, and make sure they feel looked after.

That’s also why I’m looking for quality people to build with, good people, coachable people, people who genuinely want to help others and build something meaningful for themselves.

The more I grow, the more people I can help.

The more quality people I develop, the more families we can serve.

Build people. Help families. Create freedom.

✨ Good times, great company, and giving back! ✨

One of the silent auction items from our SEDT Charity Golf Classic was an amazing experience at LaunchPad 🙌

We love seeing our charity event turn into memories and experiences that bring our team together.

SOMETIMES YOU NEED SOMEONE WILLING TO FIGHT FOR YOU.

Working with people might be one of the hardest and most rewarding things a person can do.

Because mentorship isn't simply teaching someone new skills.

Sometimes you're literally fighting against beliefs they've carried for YEARS.

"I'm not good enough."

"I'm not a leader."

"I'll probably fail."

"People like me don't become successful."

"I've always been this way."

A great mentor sees past all of that.

They see the person underneath the fear.

The potential underneath the insecurity.

The leader underneath the self-doubt.

Sometimes they see the person you're capable of becoming before you do.

And then they go to war beside you.

They challenge the limiting beliefs.

They interrupt the destructive self-talk.

They push you when comfort starts winning.

They remind you who you're becoming when you temporarily forget.

And they help armour you for a world that won't always understand your growth.

Because there will be doubters.

Critics.

Jealous people.

People who preferred the old version of you because your growth makes them uncomfortable.

Mentorship is a battle over who you believe you can become.

But here's the hardest part:

A mentor can't win that battle for you.

They can teach you.

Challenge you.

Believe in you.

Stand beside you.

But eventually...

YOU have to choose the person you want to become.

Some people choose comfort.

Some choose complacency.

Some choose the easy road.

But every once in a while, a mentor gets the privilege of watching someone finally see what they saw in them all along.

They start believing.

They start growing.

They start winning.

And eventually they become strong enough to turn around and fight for someone else.

That's why mentorship is worth the fight.

And if you're lucky enough to have someone in your life who's fighting this war beside you...

Someone who challenges your excuses.

Someone who refuses to let you play small.

Someone who believes in you when your own belief disappears.

Don't wait until you've won to thank them.

⚔️ Send this to your mentor.

Let them know you're fighting — and that you're grateful they're in the battle with yo

We at Empower Empire recognize our advisors for going out and helping the Middle Market Canadians.
•
These elite agents went out and helped other individuals get into a better financial space all the while helping their own families.
•
As a reward these agents qualified to take their FAMILIES to Mexico.
•

we only get paid when we’re able to help a Canadian family and put them in a better financial position, we get paid by our amazing product partners- nothing out of pocket for our clients

Sometimes it's losing a loved one. Maybe it's a serious injury or illness. Sometimes we just break mentally from the stresses of life and our job.

The deep down truth most people never admit - they actually do value money over time and freedom.

Until life hits you with a complete life altering circumstance, we are all immortal. We have no concept of death. We are all content giving away our best years to make just enough to survive.

And sometimes we don't learn the lesson the first time - being laid off? Nope. Being fired? Nope. Getting scammed? Nope. Boss micromanaging you into a mental breakdown? Nope. Getting a promotion and raise but losing even more freedom - YES! That was the one that finally got me off my ass and starting taking things seriously.

When was your breaking point? When did you finally decide that you'd had enough of just surviving and wanted to actually experience life.

If it hasn't happened for you yet, that's ok too - just know when it does, you aren't alone.

When I broke, I went to the people that I knew had what I wanted and asked for help.

Grateful for those amazing people - the support, love, advice, mentorship.

Ok Vegas... you have delivered.

To wrap up an incredible week of conference and Vegas adventures we had an elite dinner last night.

I would 100% go again. (The hardest part of Vegas - choosing which amazing restaurant to eat at)

It was so good we forgot to take pictures of most of it, but the company and the memory lives in me now!

Having an incredible group of friends to do life and business with make it that much better

Thank-you again to our incredible hosts and the best menu order's ever! @johnnytam1976
