I did some rapid-fire portrait shoots in my house for these 8 beautiful baddies and had so much fun with them. It taught me a lot about lighting and efficiency and I’m so happy with how they turned out. I want to do more! So let me know if you want some!

Most of these taken @ studio

A music studio (or recording studio) is a specialized, acoustically treated facility designed for capturing, mixing, and producing audio recordings, ranging from in-home setups to large, multi-room complexes. It typically features a “live room” for capturing sound and a “control room” for engineers to manipulate audio, ensuring professional-quality sound.

I had days this past year where I didn’t really want to be here anymore. I am extremely sensitive to the fear and hurt I think a lot of folks in my communities and others are feeling with the current administration and all that comes with that.
I had to do something aside from therapy or volleyball/Pride stuff that was just for me to quiet the noise and truly live moment to moment for just a few short hours a week. Improv classes at Third Coast and the amazingly talented and kind folks I’ve had the privilege to meet and play with truly saved my life and my light this year. Thank you would never quite cover what you all mean to me and neither would a 1000 page novel but just know that because I know ALL of you, I have been changed for good. 🫶🏻❤️🎭

This year I’ve been lucky enough to coach The Deep End and teach a very special Level 4 class. Both of these groups have been so talented, engaging and fun to work with. Last night I got to watch them on the same lineup at and it made me so so proud!! Thankful for these opportunities and can’t wait to continue to be blown away by them ✨

One year in Nashville! (And the best year). Here’s some film from a great week in July. Oh, and it’s been a while since I made a longish form post on here so… Reflection below. Read if you'd like!

Last November, I moved to Nashville in the wake of uncertain and quite difficult life circumstances - both within and outside of my control. I will spare most of the details, but coming out of graduate school last August and being faced with an intense job market, I was at a loss for months. Moving to Nashville to play music and be surrounded by art was my goal, but I had no idea how to make it happen. I was couch surfing and couldn’t find sustainable work. I was down on my luck big time.

In that time, I was forced to revaluate what I truly wanted. I had to actively weigh comfortability against my passions. There was one phone call I remember with my mother in which she point blank told me it was time to chase what I wanted for my life. She believed that once I decided, it would happen. Many conversations with my friends in Florida further encouraged me to give it a shot.

Funny enough, once I decided that I was going to make the move to Nashville, the right opportunities opened up. The universe was waiting for my buy in and I needed my own buy in as well.

Fast forward, this has been one of the most rewarding years and experiences of my life. It has been full of learning, growth, insane ups and downs, tons of moments where I question what the hell I am doing, and moments where I know I’m right where I want and need to be. I’ve met amazing people and some of my closest friends here. I am getting to create and play music. I also get to make a living working in coffee. I am so full of gratitude. And I am constantly inspired by the people around me. I am so glad I trusted myself. I am so thankful for the friends and family that have supported me along the way.

Looking forward to what is to come in year two (gonna be a wild one 🐎).
