⭐️ NEW RELEASE OUT NOW ⭐️

Perhaps we’re all connected by something we cannot always see, but can somehow feel. ❤️

Jarred Nicklen and Jacobus Van Houdt present “Connected by Light”. It’s an atmospheric, chill ambient soundscape inspired by the invisible threads that connect us all. A gentle reminder that even in moments of darkness, there is always light to guide us.

Beautifully complemented by Jacobus’ stunning artwork, this collaboration invites listeners to slow down, reflect, and feel connected to something greater.

✨ Connected by Light is now streaming on all major platforms. 🎧

✨ PROUD MOM MOMENT ✨

What a night watching my girl, Hannah-Mae 💜💜💜, experience her very first YYC Music Awards as a nominee in the Children’s Music category! 🎶🏆

And while she didn’t bring home the award this time, I honestly couldn’t be prouder.

At just 12 years old, she was the youngest nominated artist of the night — and considering these are her very first songs and she has only been releasing music for less than a year… I’d say she did pretty darn good just showing up! 🥹💜

As her music continues to grow and evolve, I can already see how she could find herself nominated across different categories in the future — and that’s the exciting part. She’s still discovering her sound, developing her craft, writing, recording and putting her music out into the world. 🎤✍🏻🎶

This nomination wasn’t the finish line. It was another starting point.

We’ll keep working, keep creating, keep learning and continue our YYC Music Awards journey with the dream that maybe one day she’ll get to bring one of those awards home. 🏆✨

Beyond the nomination, I’m just SO proud of how much work Hannah-Mae has put into her music over this past year. Watching your child have a dream and then actually put in the work to chase it is pretty special. 💜

And we had an absolute BLAST! We got to experience so many different genres and performances — EDM, rock, alternative, heavy metal and so much more — some of which Hannah-Mae had never experienced live before. 🎸🤘🏻🎧 It was such a fun night celebrating Calgary’s incredible music community and seeing some familiar faces along the way!

Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners! 👏🏻🎶

As for Hannah-Mae… we’re just getting started. 💜🎤✨

J U S T L I K E T H E M O V I E S ✨
@moonrunner83 feat. @garrettgregorymusic @jarrednicklen
Coming soon — (aiming for...like...August 15)

The sky did the work for us.

Gold and emerald pouring over the Rockies, mist rising like film grain, two silhouettes locked in the frame while the whole valley burned soft and cinematic.

That’s the night this one was written.

Garrett’s voice cuts through the haze exactly the way the sky does: warm, inevitable, a little larger than life. Synths bloom slow and bright underneath. Pure summer heat dressed in widescreen.

A summer smash for the moments that already look like the movies.

End of Summer.

Keep the volume up. 🌙

The people who show up in your life are a reflection of the energy you put out into the world.

Your circle should feel like fuel. Like a deep breath. Like someone genuinely in your corner no matter what.

When you start embodying the qualities you most want to be surrounded by something almost magical happens. The right people find you and everything starts to align.

Become it. Embody it. Watch your whole world change. 💖

If you’re looking for a positive space to feel good and follow along on my musical journey, this page is for you. Welcome. 💖

“Where it all began.”

This piece marks the beginning of a new collaboration with @jarrednicklen—one that feels really special.

Instead of music simply accompanying the art, or art responding to the music… we’re building something back and forth. Each piece will evolve from the last—visual to sound, sound back to visual—creating a narrative that grows with every release.

This is chapter one.

The work itself sits in that in-between space—like a season about to change. There’s a quiet energy beneath the surface, something building, shifting, waiting to emerge. It’s a feeling I’ve been sitting with a lot lately… in my work and in life.

Jarred took that feeling and translated it into sound—and hearing it come to life in a completely different medium has been a really powerful experience.

This is just the start of the story.

Go give the first track a listen and let us know what you feel.

Some tracks are born in a single night and others demand a season of waiting. "Chasing Shadows" spent a year gestating in the cold. And it goes back to our oldest roots.

A year ago, @jarrednicklen and I laid down the foundation for this release. That original vision captured the feeling of watching neon bleed onto frozen glass. The mood was undeniable, yet the narrative felt like an empty highway awaiting a traveler.

The silence of that long prairie night was finally broken by an electric serendipity. Marking my first duet in years, @carolinewhytemusic brings her crystalline voice to the project, acting as the headlights cutting through a cold lonely night. Her performance shifts the song from a solitary retrospective into a shared transmission.

The full release drops April 10 everywhere, featuring the final vocal cut alongside the newly remastered instrumental demo that started it all.

We can't wait for you all to hear it. <3

This girl can sing. An incredible day in the warmth of the studio with @carolinewhytemusic and @jarrednicklen. Broke out the Advanced Audio CM-251 -- famous for its rich body and crystal clear highs -- to capture every nuance of Caroline's breathy, ethereal voice. I haven't sung a duet with another musician in a long time. But there was an electric serendipity that brought the three of us together for this gorgeous new track.

There's magic out here in Alberta. So much talent here tucked beneath the stars, beside the snowcapped Rocky Mountains, where most folk dare not venture. Caroline embodies what makes this project so special, and so beloved to our fans, and so important to this amazing Province and corner of the globe -- like so many of us who chose this place to call our home, she's a free and talented spirit with a kind heart and a good soul. And she just wants to share her immense joy with other people. I've always envisioned this project as a collective of artists from Alberta and around the world sharing the same canvas, melodies that remind us who we are, where we've been, and where we're going. To tell stories that are unique to this place, to our people, and to our hearts. And to share that with all of you...so that you might find a piece of yourself right here with us.

We're grateful for the joy you brought us today, the smiles, and this new track that I'm going to rush as our next single. It's sooo good. I can't wait for you all to hear it.

And this is one of many. Jarred and I have been feverishly mixing the next full length record. We want it to truly be one of a kind. More friends. More songs. More moonlight to those in the shadows who need it most.

In the meantime, keep your eyes open for CHASING SHADOWS feat. @carolinewhytemusic -- coming very soon. 🌙
