BEAUTY WITH A PURPOSE ✨

In my conversation with Jasmine Gerhardt, MSc in Human Rights and European Law, Miss Ireland 2023 and Ireland’s representative at Miss World 2025, we explore how our aspirations become more attainable when we actively participate in realising them, both in love and in life.

In relationships, careers and the many roles we inhabit, seeking external reassurance can be tempting. There is, however, an important distinction between welcoming support and surrendering personal agency.

At Síle Uí Chiaráin Consultancy, Semper Ad Meliora, always towards better, is reflected in one of our guiding principles: Be the Evidence Your Confidence Needs.

Our perceived limitations may lie less in our capacity than in the paradigms through which we view ourselves and our possibilities. We work with clients to build confidence through purposeful action, recognising incremental progress and strengthening personal agency.

Jasmine’s Beauty with a Purpose project is already bringing this principle to life, introducing children to active visualisation through a tangible, creative and participatory experience.

Life by design ✨

What could the right support make possible for you?

Is commitment a lost art❓

Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it‼️

What if the flip side of commitment is cancel culture⁉️

If you judge commitment by the 50/50-ness of a relationship, are you setting it up for failure ❓

In relationship real time v reel time
Some days look like 80/20
Some days require 40/60
Some days need to be 90/10 …

On the spreadsheet of a lifetime together, commitment absolutely requires 100%.

But the flexibility of who gives what on a day-to-day basis is probably what separates the sheep from the goats, just a thought 💬

Maybe commitmrnt isn’t about keeping score 🤔

I wonder how smoothly a lifetime of love would run, if fuelled on a rechargeable AAA battery of

Agency | Agility | Adaptability

What say you, beautiful people ❓

You don’t get what you want in life or in love.

You get a match for WHO YOU ARE, in all walks of life.

Is this a formula for an upgrade in attachment style, I wonder?

Make a list of what you want.

Then literally BE that.

Want honesty? Be honest.
Want emotional availability? Be emotionally available.
Want respect? Bring respect.
Want vulnerability? Be willing to be seen.
Want meaningful connection? Communicate, listen, repair and take responsibility.

What am I asking of the relationship that I’m not giving?

Kudos to Jasmine for highlighting, from her lived experience, that consistency in how we show up matters hugely.

When you do the ‘me’ work honestly, you may discover that your most mature self still isn’t meeting its match in ‘we’.

The most self-respecting thing to do in a case like that may be to exit intentionally, with grace.

Lessons carried forward…

ENTER… POSSIBLE ME 💕

⬇️ If you met yourself as a partner, friend, colleague or leader, would you recognise the qualities in you, that you say you’re looking for in another❓

Jasmine Gerhardt

Jasmine looks beyond the crown and credentials to explore the experiences that shape us in public and private life.

• The reality of pageantry and life behind the scenes of Miss World
• Life after the crown, and using the platform to create opportunities
• Beauty with a purpose, philanthropy and advocacy
• Success on the outside while navigating personal challenges behind closed doors
• Grief, loss and learning to live differently
• Love, heartbreak, boundaries and knowing when to walk away
• Mental health, therapy and finding the courage to ask for help
• Identity, reinvention and starting again
• The pressure on women to have everything figured out, particularly in their twenties
• Redefining happiness, success and what the next chapter can look like

DO LESS TO ACHIEVE MORE ✨

If you’re feeling lost, perhaps the way back, out or forward isn’t about grappling, panicking or judging yourself.

Perhaps it’s about reframing ‘lost’ as a conscious indulgence.

A chance to wonder: Why is this happening for me, rather than why is this happening to me?

When you loosen your grip on expectation, step away from the noise and find flow, your body can settle, your mind can soften and possibility can breathe.

Perhaps being lost for a while isn’t a problem to solve, but space to find your way.

⬇️ When you feel lost, what helps you find your way back?
