Jas Harris, known in Rave as Smooth CRiminal, crossed Spring ‘26. They were born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. They earned their Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Environmental Science, Cum Laude, with a 3.4 GPA.
Jas was a Merit Scholar and had the opportunity to present research at several social science conferences, was selected to participate in experiential learning excursions dedicated to environmental education and field experience, and served as a Teaching Assistant for the Department of Psychology and Sociology from 2024-2026. Jas will be continuing their studies at Auburn University, obtaining their Masters in Community Planning. Congratulations Jas!🖤

Denim Day is an annual event on the last Wednesday of April where allies wear denim jeans to raise awareness for sexual assault and show support for survivors. It originated from a protest in Italy in the 1990s due to a court ruling that overturned a rape conviction because the victim wore tight jeans. The ruling sparked outrage, leading to the Denim Day movement. To show our support for sexual assault victims and survivors, we created our denim photoshoot. House of VZNaries fully supports those who may have been affected by sexual violence. Clothing is NEVER an indicator of consent.👖
