Great weekend away with good company, glad I said yes when the opportunity had presented itself!

@melbmara cheers for the Kipchoge and Whelan spectacle, but I think you know what mistakes you need to improve on for next year, but you got it on the money with the new course I’ll give you that 👏
2 hour first half, 1 hour 49 second half, loves a negative split.
3 hours 49 all up.

Not the race I had planned but when you’re battling a stitch that’s the way it goes sometimes!! Final time 3:51:41 but I’ll be back 😏

Gold Coast Half Marathon 2026 - 01:31:38

Another fun run on the Gold Coast, this one feeling significantly harder but made sure I emptied the tank.

Takeaways:
- Pain
- Fun
- Competition with friends
- 3rd fastest lifetime kilometre
- 2nd fastest lifetime half marathon

Gold Coast I may be back next year, but let’s wait and see.
Attention turns to something else for the time being.

GOLD COAST HALF MARATHON 2026

1:32:13 chip time - 39 seconds slower than my PB with a total lack of training coming into it. Stoked with that - first international race, and so good to see so many Kiwis smashing it across the half and full marathons.
