Honestly, I’m not sure how this is already my 23rd year celebrating Mother’s Day, but here we are. Every year, this role becomes more humbling and even more meaningful. With each child, the experience has been completely different. There’s no “right way” to raise a child, and there’s no parenting guide, handbook, or even AI advice that will help you raise the “perfect” kids — and that’s just facts.

Looking back at old memories from when my babies were little and needed me for everything, to now, when they barely need me for anything — puts life into a completely different perspective.

One thing I’ve learned as a seasoned mom that I can share with a new generation of moms is this:

Let go of what you can’t control. There will be times when you won’t agree with the choices your child makes, who they’re influenced by, or even who they choose to love. Instead, focus on the bigger blessing — that they trust you enough to share their life with you. There are parents who have no idea who their children truly are, and often, that’s because their children never felt safe enough to let them in.

The older my children get, the more I realize motherhood isn’t about control, it’s about connection, trust, and unconditional love. And that is the real gift.

Happy Mother’s Day to every mom figuring it out one season at a time. 🤍

Sydney & Jason’s Spring Break 26’ :
we ate a lot, swam a lot, played uno with the grandparents, and beach-hopped to 6 different beaches. In Aruba you are guaranteed quiet mornings, clear skies, & sunshine in the high 80’s — daily.

Water visibility didn’t live up to our standards for snorkeling purposes (you’ve got to go at least 60 ft) but the Aruban sunsets were stunning and twilights were vivid & surreal. 🌅 🌄

No one ever warns you that being the “cool mom” in your 40s is both risky and expensive 😆 and honestly, I’m all in and ALL for it!! I’m just trying to be the mom my kids describe as: “She said she would… and she DID.”

Being their mom is the GREATEST GIFT — EVER.

I love Liyah, Sydney, & Jason more than words can say; I always want the best for them, this is why and I take them around the world with me. Watching them grow, explore, and experience life by my side is not only the greatest return of investment, but it is the adventure of a lifetime. ☺️

When they were babies I used to say, “I can’t wait for them to grow up so we can travel the world together.” Now that the time I once dreamed of is here, I sometimes wish they were tiny again, just to hold them a little longer. 😞

To all the Moms with little ones . . . soak it up. The days can feel long, but the years fly faster than you can imagine. One day you’ll miss the tiny hands, the bedtime stories, and even the chaos.

Happy Mother’s Day to every Mama cherishing every season! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍

Xoxo,
Sarah
