From today’s rerun of @millionairetv on @gameshownetwork, one of the best contestants in the show, @jasonblock2 who won $125,000 and who I loved meeting at the Game Show Throwdown at the @hyattplaceglendalelosangeles located at 225 W. Wilson Ave. here in Glendale on July 27, 2019. The same episode featured Shannon McGehee who only won $1,000 but holds the record as the fastest player to win the Fastest Finger qualifying round in 0.87 seconds and the only one to do so in less than one second. Fun fact, when the original Millionaire premiered in Britain, the Fastest Finger round was simply answering a multiple choice question correctly in the fastest time and many of those players answered correctly in less than one second. That format was used for the first five years on the Australian version and the first three years of the Spanish version. However, Shannon is the only player to win Fastest Finger in less than one second under its most popular format of putting all four answers to a question in the correct order, first used in the second series of thirteen episodes on the British version in January 1999 while the first series of ten episodes were the only episodes of Millionaire in the world to air in 1998.

NATAS is launching a dedicated app later this year and will air the annual ceremony on it. 3) Wil Wheaton is getting into the game with Gamemaster, an esports reality competition to air on a heretofore unknown platform. 🏀 AND 1 FOR THE WEEKEND: he’s Brooklyn through and through.
