It was an honor and privilege to be invited to perform Cave In songs at the Andy Williams celebration of life this past weekend in Buffalo NY. No New England nor’easter storm would prevent us from attending, whether by plane or automobile, we knew the universe would deliver us to this most important event.

Being completely surrounded by the love of Andy’s family, friends and community we got to see the true testament of what an incredible human being he was and the extraordinary life he lived.

The speeches were heartfelt and beautiful. The other musical performances were magnificent. Tears were shed, and hugs were shared.

We have told the story before but Andy had a direct impact upon the way Steve and I hold our guitar picks. He noticed on the tour we did together the backwards and incorrect technique we had been using at the time and totally corrected our mechanics. From that day forward our string attack improved dramatically and led to a much smoother execution of playing heavy music. Like Steve said on Sunday every harmonic pick squeal you have ever heard us do is the direct result of Andy Williams. We carry the lesson he taught us to this day and will continue for the rest of our musical lives.

As life long wrestling fans it was so exciting for us to watch our friend pursue and live out his dreams in the ring. I was able to see Andy wrestle live multiple times. The memory that sticks out the most is seeing The Butcher at the giant TD Garden in Boston. The same building I had seen Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin wrestle in years past. He invited and got me into that wrestling show which I was so grateful for. There really is no better feeling than watching a friend live out their dreams right in front of you.

We love and miss you Andy. Please look up Caleb and start a heavy band together. I think that would be so sick. Drop by and say hello in a dream sometime. I will absolutely be making a pilgrimage to your statue. Thank you for everything. - Adam

The last days of May are among the longest of the year.
~Alice Munro

May started out great! Then got a little disappointing toward the middle.

We went to The Troll Hole, a pretty cool Troll Museum in Alliance and also got to check out Hallowed Grounds coffee shop, finally!!
Had a couple great concerts, in the same week!! Bilmuri & The Home Team in Pittsburgh and then Ankor, Ladrones, The Pretty Wild and Bloodywood in Detroit! Had a fun weekend visiting friends in Michigan!! The Monday after I got home, I had my 3 month followup appointment for my eye. It wasn't great. My retina had detached again, this time due to the scar tissue from the first surgery. I was told I had to have reattachment surgery again that Friday 😤 Currently healing from that!! Hopefully I have a better outcome this time!!! 🤞🏻I'm manifesting it!!

Staying Positive!! 🫶🏻
June is going to be a month of healing!!! 🙌🏻
