November 22nd Rifle & Pistol Critical Task Evaluations

This one-day course allows the shooter to go through the primary CTEs used by Lodestone. These Evaluations set a standard for the individual shooter to work towards and help track their progress. Too many try to cut corners when using a Shot Timer. They get sloppy in their desire to beat the clock or not be the last one. With help from the Shot Timer, it’s not a pass or fail, but a check on where you are at as a shooter. We’d rather you do it right, than fast and wrong. Speed will come from doing it right.

The CTEs tested throughout the day will be for individual Rifle, individual Pistol, and then using both together. Each one will be explained and demonstrated. You will be given the freedom to work as long as desired for each one. This is also the day to be in full battle rattle, meaning, wear all your kit as you navigate each Critical Task.Students will be given the Lodestone TAC CTE score sheet at class. #lodestone #principlebasedtraining #cte #lightfighter #lodestonetac

Recently spent some quality time training at night. It’s amazing to realize how far I’ve come in the world of night vision. From jumping into JRTC with a PVS-7D so many years ago to now regularly teaching others how to get the most out of their systems. I run all kinds of low-light classes Including a MPOETC approved Night Vision Firearms Instructor course.

LTAC Night Fighter Challenge March 12th
In the Spirit of the Pennsylvania Light Fighter Challenge, this unique event will push your abilities to operate at night. This is our 4th year running the Night Fighter Challenge. It will require the use of flashlights, lasers and night vision as you are tested in the environment of darkness.

The Night Fighter Challenge starts with a timed ruck along an approximately 3-mile trail using Night Vision. The path will be a trail over rugged terrain with elevation changes.

At the completion of the hike, you will go through an approximately 1 ½ mile-long course with different stages. Some stages will include Shooting with white light, Shooting with NODs and lasers, and passive. There will be individual CQB, Tac-Med, and other stages, all being run in the dark. The culminating stage will be Escape and Evasion combined with land navigation. There will be prizes for the top 10 competitors. This is the chance to challenge yourself at night.

-Backpack with a minimum of 35 pounds weight, not including water
-Rifle with sling
-Tactical light on rifle
-Night Vision with helmet or cap and mounting system for the NV

-40 rounds of rifle ammo and two magazines

-Compass (with ability to use in low light)
-Handheld flashlight or headlamp (with red lens)

Stage 20 from IPSC Nats was a good one.

Loved how this stage invited blending positions together. The more you could stay moving and connect everything, the better the stage got.

US IPSC Nats 2026. What an amazing match this was. The most challenging and fun match I’ve ever had. Ended up performing over my expectations finishing 113/190 in Optics division and shooting 62.5% of @ericgrauffel. As for squad 203 they held it down all weekend. Energy and vibes were electric all three days and everyone absolutely crushed the match. Will be back next year! Also huge shoutout to my “sponsors” aka mom and dad. I couldn’t do any of this without them! Overall can’t be more proud of how far I’ve made it in 16 months of the sport!
