all jokes aside, this trip to DC World Pride meant the world to me. as a gay man, im sure we all struggle with love and with our own confidence, be it our body image or believing we are worthy of love. i won't lie, i am incredibly lucky to have had the kind of friends i can be comfortable in my own body and my own skin; the kind of friends i can be myself around without feeling like i have to turn down the knob just to make someone happy; and the kind of friends who have defied the test of time and stood by my side on peaks of mountains and in depths of valleys.

i know now i am loved. i know now i am beautiful. i know now i love being me.

i want to hug my little self and tell him all that, and more.

and with all this love, i hug my best friends Jason and Leon.
