Welcome to Grimswick, a modest town near the crossroads, where an unseasonable chill has gripped the countryside, and dark secrets refuse to stay buried. #dnd #dungeonsanddragons

Carrie Coon is a force on screen and a delight to chat with. Everyone must see The Liberation when it comes to theaters.

It’s a technicality to be nominated! Thx for the snap @wbezchicago ! Loved spending the evening w my CST friends @chrisllewynramirez @olivia_p02 and @jasonsimonsays .

All love & gratitude for the @chicagoshakes Merry Wives and Much Ado teams. You deserved every nomination, and it was a privilege supporting both productions as an understudy.

@phillipbreen_director and Selina Cadell, you are both exquisite directors, with extremely different directing styles that both create superb results. Dionysus vs Apollo. Similar accents and cabled sweaters tho, and shared commitment to language clarity.

Thanks to the Merry Wives gang for looping me into my first Jeff nomination for Best Ensemble! The Jeffs never saw me, but I saw each week what the THEY saw and completely agree with their choice to uplift your work. @issy_van_randwyck_public and Nancy Voigts, I could not have asked for more fun, talented, generous ladies to study onstage in this process.

I moved here end of 2022 and have had a very stop-and-start introduction to the Chicago theater community, between two babies and two seniors at home. I walked in last night nervous I would feel like an outsider. But instead, I feel so warm inside by how connected I felt, albeit some huge gaps of many theaters I still haven’t gotten to visit yet. Chicago is still a new place for me, five days shy of our four year anniversary here, and God help me it is HARD to prep auditions and make new friends and see shows I am not in. But it is still becoming a home, slowly but surely.

Artist fam: Let’s cause even more trouble with our work in 2027! Let’s tackle ICE on stage and send audiences home hungry to activate beyond voting, program Palestinian playwrights to speak their truths, and challenge our audiences with pieces on fascism and imperialism that highlight where liberal spaces are still complicit. If audiences walk out of theater feeling self-congratulatory, we aren’t doing our best jobs as artists speaking exquisite truth necessary to save the world. Let’s celebrate this year and all work to reach even higher and more uncomfortable places next year. Jeffs: this includes your ongoing investigation of your processes.

@chicagoshakes ‘ Opening Night of “The Merry Wives Of Windsor” was absolutely incredible! As a pseudo-Shakespeare buff who read a lot of the comedies in college, this was one of the plays I had not read. Having very little familiarity with this piece was actually cool - I loved going in blind to this lesser-known farce of The Bard’s. It was so much fun getting to see this imagination of the feminism- packed romp where we get to see the women turn the tables on the stock character staple of Shakespeare’s comedies Falstaff (Sir John Falstaff) and best his trickery with some of their own 😂 It was a pure delight, so beautifully designed and performed - thank you so much, #ChicagoShakespeare, for having me out and letting me experience another top-notch production with you all.

“Merry Wives” is playing now through May 3rd in The Jentes Family Courtyard Theater at Chicago Shakes - however, go see it as soon as possible because, as Ford puts it in the show, “Better three hours too soon than a minute too late!”

May And remember, as always … for all things theatre, turn to #PaigeEight! 🎭💖📝8️⃣💖🎭

Paige Eight P.S. Did I #BroadwayBound in all fuschia (inspired by the playbill and production’s promo photos) and leopard in a nod to the animal print Mistress Ford dons throughout the entire show? Forsooth, my gentle people, forsooth. I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t! Stay tuned for more Opening Night and theatre-inspired dress-up (and let me know in the comments below ⬇️ if you have any Broadway Bound looks or ideas you’d like to see me try) … 😉
