Feedback within creative education is a ‘sticky’ and vulnerable moment where values and worldviews become explicit. How does feedback function for those who are marginalized within our predominantly white institutions? How can we understand and embrace ‘safe(r) uncertainty’ across difference and beyond a reductive interpretation of ‘identity politics’?

On June 10, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, researchers and educators Ayesha Ghanchi, Gina Sanches, and Rosa te Velde invite you to a special gathering exploring feedback within arts education. On this occasion, they will share a zine in which they offer their reflections and prompts to cultivate critical reflection throughout the learning process.

With guests: students Danisha Martis, Jasper den Dikken, Timsie Blyer (students Mime, ATD), Shurendi Statie (artist & graduate BA Fine Art and Design in Education, ArtEZ), Joyce Brouwer (Educational Trainer, AHK).

This event is organised in collaboration with Platform2025, @kunsthogeschool / @atd_lectorate - @atdamsterdam.

Some more pictures of A RIGHT FOR SPRING, my last project at @atdamsterdam , where I had the opportunity to dive with these whimsical creatures in this landscape of mud and moss.

slow paced streams/
green slime floating on top/
fallen rotten trunks around/
a picture of decay/
but if you look closely in their cracks
you will see a caterpillar making love with the ants/
flies and mosquitoes competing to see who will make it first to the other side of the pond/
a blue and silver fish swimming in circles/
a choir of birds in the trees/
the frogs between the weeds gossiping with each other/
and four creatures
half human half plant half amphibians
hiding under the surface
between the fluffy algae
surrounded by a green halo of light
glimmery scales on their skin
feeding themselves with tiny minerals suspended in the depths of the water/
making their way out of it after a long winter to grasp the warmth of the first sun rays
and of coming together once again.

A RIGHT FOR SPRING

The swamp welcomes all. It is a threshold where nature refuses to be simplified, an ecosystem that grows from the waters into a ceremony for the beginning of a new cycle.

De constructie waar we ons in bevinden

Samen met Byeongsu hebben we gewerkt aan een performative act die zich in de ruimte met objecten en een ontworpen kostuum heeft doen samensmelten tot een indrukwekkende act.
