"No words" is an often used expression when you want to describe something so amazing or when you're just speechless. But considering how amazing the Indian School Reunion by the batch of 1999 was, I have many, many words to describe how awesome it was!

To be honest, even as late as the last week of January this year, I hadn't booked my tickets to Bahrain. I knew I wanted to go but considering the back-to-back expenses from the months prior, I hesitated. I just went "fuck it" and swiped away thinking this trip to Bahrain in early February was going to be a once in a lifetime experience anyway. It was 💙

From the moment I met up with my former schoolmates, to then seeing faces I hadn't seen in decades (because they chose to drop off social media), to visiting my school in its 75th(!) year of existence, sitting in my final classroom, to the dinner party... and then all the drinking while laughing away! It was overwhelming at times... and quite sad on the last day.

The batchmates at @isb_batch_99 who put this all together deserve infinite praise. To pull off something like this for 135 former students -- who flew from all over India, the GCC, North America, Australia, EU, UK -- NOT an easy thing to do! From the custom-made goodies, to the logistics, itinerary, and the lovely dinner party -- there was little to complain about. (Okay, it did get chaotic at times but I guess it was everyone's excitement seeing each other after 2 decades)

Some things I wished I did more of? Take photos on *my own* phone. I'm not a selfie kinda guy but seeing how many photos many others took with each other, I regret not taking more myself. Also, take off my jacket for some of the photos. It was cold -- but I swear I was wearing different clothes on different days!

I may not go back to Bahrain anytime soon but reconnecting with so many faces I hadn't seen in over a decade (or inside a WhatsApp group) was such a joy.
Three days of back-to-back fun made me immediately ignore my credit card statement and go "man, I am glad I went!"

I can't wait for the next reunion... wherever or whenever that might be.
