What a blessing to be featured on WCCO for what we are building in Minnesota to support high school athletes and their parents.

The one and only Mike Max came through and covered the Inner City Student Athlete Summit last week.

As I mentioned before, if you build it, keep building.

God continues to amaze me with where he is taking me on this journey to help other athletes.

Thank you to @minneapolisparks for partnering with me. And S/O to @a2peezy, @jay.lr
@kiarab30 for providing some nuggets to the audience that showed up.

We are just getting started 💪🏽

We are about 2 weeks away from an amazing event I am hosting for high school athletes and their guardians.

This will be a day full of knowledge, insights, and resources to help high school athletes (and their guardians/parents) gain some valuable information that will help them navigate sports, take some major life lessons away, and prepare them for life after highschool whether that includes college sports or not.

✨We will have some fun and go through an exercise on culture, identity, and life skills from sports.

✨I am also thrilled to have some of my friends come and share their wisdom with the audience including:

🔹Jalen Logan-Redding (@jay.lr) - a former player at the U of M that has experienced college with and without NIL
🔹Jacke Travis - a coach, mentor, and parent of prominent athletes that have experienced collegiate sports
🔹Kiara Buford (@kiarab30) - a former basketball player and current Director of NIL at the U of M
🔹Brianna Edwards (@briannaedwards_33 ) - a coach at North High School, speaker, and moderator.

They are going to drop some 💎 so you will want to be there

A huge thank you to @minneapolisparks for their partnership in this event. Register is available online using the QR code.

Proud Coach moment!
This young man rolled into Parisi Como in 2018 at 15. Walking through the front door he looked like a predator searching for prey.
After his evaluation, I said this young man has the package to play on Sunday. Every young person has a dream- the difference from most is the willingness to do the work to make it happen. This guy put in the work and is living his dream.
I’ve been blessed to coach so many incredible athletes over the last 35 years.
Jay thank you for all the great memories, and the prospect of seeing you live your dream!
For the record he put his education first graduating with his under grad and here soon his MBA!

Jalen Logan-Redding is headed to Los Angeles. The LA Rams signed him as an undrafted free agent — and the work is just getting started.
