At what point does a designer toy officially become a piece of furniture? Because this isn’t something you place on a shelf. This is something you rearrange your life around.

About the Toy 🐻
This is the 1000% Bearbrick ‘Steal Your Face’ by Medicom Toy, and yes, it’s exactly as large and intimidating as you’re imagining. These 1000% Bearbricks are basically functional furniture that happens to also be art.

Wrapped head to toe in the iconic Grateful Dead "Steal Your Face" pattern, this thing is impossible to ignore… impossible to move without planning… and impossible to explain to guests who inevitably ask,
“Why is there a giant bear staring at me?”

Also worth noting (because this thing went THROUGH IT):
• I won it in a giveaway and immediately assumed I was dreaming
• It shipped and then vanished into the postal abyss
• It was “delivered” to a parcel locker roughly the size of a shoebox (a bold claim)
• Hope was lost. Emails were sent. Acceptance began
• And then, when I least expected it, this massive box just appeared at my door like nothing happened

Truly a hero’s journey.

About the Artist/Icon 💀
If you don’t know Grateful Dead, welcome, stay awhile. The Steal Your Face skull is one of the most recognizable logos in music history, originally created for the band’s sound crew and accidentally becoming a cultural icon.

It’s psychedelic, timeless, and somehow feels just as at home on a giant Bearbrick as it does on a vintage tour tee.

Legendary then, legendary now.

Shoutout Legend 🙌
Huge thanks to @jay_kick5 for running the community giveaway that started this entire saga. I still can’t believe I actually won this thing, let alone that it disappeared across the country and somehow made it to my door. Truly unreal.

Appreciate you big time, even if this bear now owns more square footage in my home than I do.
