Met these little beauties yesterday for a mums day/night out and my stomach literally hurts from laughing so much.

An ode to the #getyourskinout community!

What a joy it’s been scrolling through 2+ years of #GetYourSkinOut community posts! Since posting last week i definitely had a vulnerability hangover but seeing familiar faces and learning of new community members this week has been so heart warming and has given me the courage and motivation to push forward and reapply so many learnings we’ve all discussed and shared over the years. Be it self love, patience, new tips n’ tricks for living with our conditions - i feel all the love and so thankful for everyone here!

In America where women / NB / Trans people & bodies are having bodily autonomy removed met with the world touting the horrific 90’s trend of ‘heroin chic’, it is VITAL we keep sharing our stories and conditions - visible or not - to break the unrealistic and unrepresentative narrative of supremacy continuing to be the norm. What do i mean by that? A world where White, thin, smooth skin and ableism are seen as the ideal. Be it bodies, work place, relationships, pay - it’s all connected, beyond damaging and so far from many peoples lived experience and truths.

#GetYourSkinOut has never been about promoting homogenization and is always about leading with the truth and representation. So here’s some fabulous community members sharing their experiences with #psoriasis #EB #scars !
