Keeping our mats clean is everyone’s responsibility.

Please remember to:

✅ Wash your gi, rash guard, and training gear after every class.
✅ Trim your fingernails and toenails.
✅ Wear sandals off the mat.
✅ Cover any cuts or scrapes before training.
✅ Stay home if you’re feeling sick or have any suspicious skin irritation.

Good hygiene shows respect for your training partners and helps keep our entire team healthy and safe.

We’ve learned over the years in a small town that once summer starts, things slow down a bit. We ourselves will be out of town taking a break. We’ll back on the 22nd. Come get your fix today before we sell out. Hope you all are enjoying time with your families. 🫶🏼

We wanted to thank all of the kids who submitted videos for our Gi Giveaway!

One of the reasons we asked for these videos was because we wanted to hear, in their own words, what Jiu Jitsu means to them. As coaches, we always hope we’re teaching more than just self-defense skills. After watching all of the submissions, it was incredible to see so many of the kids sharing similar lessons and experiences.

They talked about learning respect for themselves and others, patience, commitment, problem-solving, confidence, staying calm under pressure, bravery, and chasing their dreams. Of course, they also mentioned self-defense, but it was amazing to see how much more Jiu Jitsu has given them beyond that.

Thank you also to our sponsors, YJJS, and to artist Chris for collaborating together to design our Gi, and thank you to all of our students and families for sharing these heartfelt videos with us. It was truly inspiring to hear what Jiu Jitsu means through their eyes.

Out of respect for the kids and their families, we will not be posting the videos publicly, but please know they meant a lot to us and reminded us why we do what we do every day.

Can we press rewind please! BFC III was definitely a gathering to remember. Here’s our Day 1 recap, Day 2 loading…

I’ve been super lucky to have exeperience the past 3 seasons of growth with @yjjsbrand and incredibly excited for what’s to come. Simply by being present, we get to train along side some of the best rollers out there. The cool part is, there were so many kids ready to train. Whether you’re a kid with a white belt or an elder black belt. Respect was present.

A huge Thank you to @yjjsromen and @yjjskevin for believing in me and having me part of the Competition team.

I’m in full gratitude to the family and team at @rootedjiujitsu Thank to Professor Joe @joebacani707 and Coach Jayce, Billy, Christian and everyone in the Rooted family for welcoming us to your home. If you’re in or near Benicia, definitely go check them out for some rolls. If you guys got the chance to try our smoothies, thank you for supporting us.

As everyone else did, We showed up early for the line up to grab some gear. Then to set up the @risingmoonorganics booth.

Anywho, did you guys make any new best friends??? I definitely did! Levi!!!! We need more rolls together💅. @ctsantos

Catch me rolling!!!
