One thing I make sure I teach my kids is CONFIDENCE. ❤️ Toot has the biggest heart and confidence to only be 6 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I teach them that everybody is not going to like you, everybody is not going to understand you, and unfortunately, some people will say mean things just to try to make you question yourself.

But somebody else’s opinion does not determine your worth.

I want my kids to know how to hear criticism without allowing it to destroy their confidence. I want them to understand the difference between something they can learn from and something that was only said to hurt them. You don’t have to argue with every person, respond to every insult, or prove yourself to everybody.

Sometimes the strongest response is continuing to be yourself. Keep smiling. Keep growing. Keep showing up. Keep doing what makes you happy.

I’m teaching my children that bullying and mean words may happen, but we don’t have to accept those words as truth. We can acknowledge what happened, protect ourselves, speak up when necessary, and still refuse to let bitterness live in our hearts.

Confidence isn’t believing everyone will love you. Confidence is loving yourself even when they don’t. ❤️

And as their mother, I’ll always remind them: Never shrink yourself just because somebody else is uncomfortable with your light.💯❤️
