Summer '25 review 2: electric boogaloo.
Late in June, I volunteered for the Vintage Computer Festival, a great few days of people coming in from all over the country to buy, trade, and sell vintage computing parts and systems as well as educate attendees on the history and functions behind the foundations of computers as we know them. There were speakers from every arena of life. From a man who was involved in the civil rights movements of the 60's & 70's, to a young girl getting into the foundations of early macintosh computer programming. Thank you to the UTD for hosting and to Jay Crutti, my former professor, for making this possible!

This picture was taken in 2014. I was a Senior at Loyola University about to graduate in music industry studies. I was the front-woman, co-songwriter, and part manager of my band The Fake Carls.
.
I knew I wanted music to be my full time job but things weren’t quite clicking, so I ended up taking a job in childcare to pay the bills.
.
Fast forward 8 amazing years. I’ve been blessed to care for so many amazing kiddos… *my* babies… and I found that what I started out calling my “day job” was really a second home and a second family. But my dream still called to me.
.
On August 1st I will no longer be the director of a daycare, and I’ll transition into a more flexible role as a substitute so that I can focus on my music more full time.
.
I have so much I want to share with you... so much music… so many awesome things that I can’t wait for your to hear & see.
.
For now I start thinking about what to pack for a trip abroad to visit my sister and when I come back, it will be to my new life as a FULL 👏🏼 TIME 👏🏼 MUSICIAN 🥹
