POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

#MondayMotivation looks like this. 🐍🧡

We had the honor of welcoming Emmy Award-winning journalist Georgia Fort to SJGC, and our scholars left the room inspired.

She shared her story, her journey, and the resilience it took to get to the top of her craft. This is proof that in the flesh, anything you believe you can achieve, and those who pour into you make all the difference.

Thank you, Mrs. Fort, for taking the time to speak with our future storytellers. Your words will carry them further than you know. 💚

Last but not least… to J-School ✨
And Bethune-Cookman University 🤎

Wow… what a journey. It hasn’t been easy getting to this point, but I made it!

To Professor Jones, thank you for guiding me and believing in me since high school. Your support has meant everything to me.
Professor Fowler, thank you for pushing me beyond what I thought I was capable of—I needed that more than you know.
Mr. Thomas, thank you for being that on-campus dad figure… that means so much to me.

And @mrshaw247 my first on-campus father figure at Bethune-Cookman University—thank you for continuing to pour into me even after I left. Thank you for the opportunities, for listening to me vent (especially during my early Florida A&M University days 😂), and for always showing love. I truly appreciate you and your family for embracing me and helping shape me into the woman I am today.

And my Jschool buddies! I’m so proud of us 🎓 and I’m super excited for what’s next to come for each and every one of you 🫶🏽Love Jak
Thank you all so much 🤍

SJGC showed up and showed out at the 2026 Harambee Festival on The Hill! 🧡💚

Our SJGC students, faculty, and alumni were on the scene connecting with the community, sharing the impact of our programs and highlighting how we’re preparing the next generation of storytellers. 🎥📸

This year’s celebration was extra special as we welcomed the festival back to The Hill and enjoyed an incredible performance from internationally acclaimed saxophonist and FAMU alumnus @bkjacksonsax, a former Jazz Director and on-air personality at WANM FM 90.5 The Flava Station. 🎷🎙️✨

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more about SJGC, and shoutout to @famu_1887 for making this event possible!

After weeks of preparation, training, and behind-the-scenes production, FAMU TV-20 is officially back! ⭐️

Last semester, our student news broadcast team delivered consistent, student-led coverage to more than 80,000 households across North Florida and through national online streaming. From coursework to deadlines to long production days, these students put in the work — and they’re ready to build on that momentum this semester.

🎬 Today marks the first newscast of 2026, and we invite you to tune in and support the next generation of journalists in action.

Don’t miss it — FAMU News 20 at Five returns today! 🧡💚
