30 | finally made it through the decade where every aspect of my life managed to get flipped on its head at least 5 times but somehow I’m still standing. And because of that, I can confidently say that through dealing with the wildest situations and traumatic moments head on and not being too scared to take every opportunity to grow from them - I can finally say I feel my age. It’s no longer that trauma forcing me to be “mature for my age” but it really is just living the life I created and allowed God to have full reign of. Not guided by anything or anyone else. A very new coming of age feeling but also incredibly freeing to know that I know who’s I am and what I’m called to do in life. Not easily swayed, pushed or bullied; but a firm, secure and unwavering girly pop I was created to be.

It’s the decade that included:
• a move across the country to an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people
• years of no-contact with my family
• hoped to God that I could still find community in church all while being hurt by The Church.
• finding Jesus for myself which led me to finding my husband
• dating & getting married in the middle of a pandemic
• surviving JJ being deployed for a year to a place that was obliterated < 1 year later
• joined the Air Force and survived BMT as an almost 30 year old.
• to then graduating BMT as an Honor Graduate - top 5 of the graduating class of over 700
• making the Deans List at tech school - even though I barely made it through high school.
• found and fostered creative passions that have turned my life around
• lost, found and learned when to leave jobs
• learned the value in traveling by myself, with Jj and also with friends
• traveled to places people only dream about - like Japan
• learned when to stay and when to leave friendships
• dealt with loss of some of my most loved ones

But most importantly my twenties was when I truly found the best “J’s” in the world - Jesus & Jordan. The two that have gotten me through and the two non-negotiables in my life. Going into my thirties knowing that what’s already happened may not even be the craziest part of the movie but if I can through my twenties, the rest of it is gonna be cake.🎂
