Had the best day out with Grandma today: big road-trip to Bay of Fires as well as Bicheno and a seafood platter to die for from @lobstershacktasmania (Thank you so much @jayedwards2010 😘)
The weather was perfect, scenery sublime and it was an exciting little milestone taking Heero for his first long trip in his crate in the car. For the most part it was a huge success -aside from a bit of initial car sickness and him dripping like a faucet, he was happy and grateful for the adventures that would present each time we’d stop. Kids had a great swim at the beach and we plan to return next year for a bit of camping and a chance to stretch our legs for a bit longer. ❤️

Yesterday this amazing woman Helen (one of my mothers and Grandma Helen to all our kids) was laid to rest, physical space and time saw us watching from the other side of the world, my presence and intention was right there. I have been honoring myself these last three weeks, acknowledging all the feelings and emotions this part of her journey has presented. Such an amazing person who has whole heartily supported and loved me since meeting my mum some 25 years ago, that connection and support continues in a different way now and as I recall memories and fun times we’ve shared I will always miss her physical presence and connection xxxx thank you Helen, for showing me what unconditional love is, for showing me you can start anything at anytime ages is no barrier, how showing up for yourself looks, that life should be fun and that it is far too short - even when things can scare us we can still continue to try (deadly Australian animals scared you but you kept coming back xxxx) we love you xxxx

Come and stay with us at @batlis.house #troulos #skiathos this summer.

We would love to host you in our traditional family home, where we have four fully fitted self catering apartments, all with their own character and style, for you to call home during your time on the beautiful Greek island of Skiathos.

We have some of the best rates on the island starting at 65 euro per night mid summer, and we are open all year round.

We are 2 minutes from some of the loveliest restaurants on the island, plus 2 minutes from the bus stop ! And 15 minutes walk from Troulos beach.

So please get in touch with me Kate @kate_intlanzi or message us @batlis.house , if you would like more information and to book.
Our website is in our bio.

Thank you.
Hope to see you in Skiathos soon!

We are OPEN! So pleased to see this Shared Walk group exhibition now open to the public. Check the @redhousecymru Facebook page for full details of dates and times.

A Shared Walk – Lost? acknowledges the different possibilities of experience. This exhibition brings together a miscellany of lost and found revealing or at least asking questions of our states of mind.
Our group kept in touch loosely through the pandemic and like everyone our experiences of the last eighteen months have been very different. Some of us have been busy making work while others have had other things to deal with. Vulnerabilities have been exposed, communities have been empowered, everyone has faced enormous changes. We approached this exhibition with a wish to reflect this diversity of experience – to show old and new work – and to celebrate moving into ‘live’ exhibiting as we set out a new map of our world and ourselves.

EXHIBITING ARTISTS:

Anna Brazier
Luz Erika Chick
Nick Davies
Jay Edwards
Sharon Magill
Ceri Morris
Helen C A Rowlands

With the festival just around the corner, we've taken a trip down the Iris memory lane to remind ourselves of the red carpet fun during festivals gone by. Can you spot yourself in the pictures?

Though we're fully online this year, there will be plenty of opportunities to connect and chat about the films with our live watch along screenings and also to have a good old Iris knees up with our online party sessions. Check out the festival programme for more info.
