Once you make a decision the Universe conspires to make it happen.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

After being accepted into over 20 schools, @jayfrizzy_08 was INTENT on choosing a school w a competitive volleyball team. Something in his spirit (ear) led him to an HBCU.

I’m so proud and thrilled to share that Josiah is officially a Freshman, playing D1 Volleyball @umeshawksmvb @umesnews

@jayfrizzy_08 Drop off day. So crazy how fast time flies. I still don’t know how I feel besides being proud. As a father this is my biggest accomplishment at the moment. I’m so grateful to be a father and more than that I’m grateful to be your father. Thank you for listening most of the time. Thank you for being a great example to your little sister because you know she’s watching. I love you so much and I’m excited for this new chapter in your life. #gohawks🦅 @umesnews

July in Orlando has become a mini tradition. Last year my mommy was my +1. She tried Ethiopian food for the 1st time. We stayed with my @buildwithbia family, The Frazier’s. They may be related to my husband’s family. ☺️ But CRAZILY I ended up in the ER. 😱 😳 My jaw swell up the size of a soccer ball and I had to show up to every game like NOTHING was wrong. 😑 😰 🤯 Swipe to the end. 🤣 What a trip. #aau #volleyball #July2025

To the Class of 2026,

What a privilege it has been to watch you grow into the incredible young adults you are today. You’ve navigated challenges, celebrated victories, learned from setbacks, and created memories that will last a lifetime.

As you step into your next chapter, remember that your success won’t be defined solely by your accomplishments, but by your character, kindness, resilience, and the way you impact those around you. The confidence you’ve gained, the friendships you’ve built, and the lessons you’ve learned will carry you far beyond these halls.

Keep chasing your goals, stay curious, work hard, and don’t be afraid to take chances. Some of life’s greatest opportunities come from stepping outside your comfort zone.

Thank you for the laughs, the memories, and the opportunity to be a small part of your journey. Watching you become the people you are today has been an honor.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. Remember Carlsbad is always home and once a Lancer always a Lancer. Please don’t be strangers and know that my room is always open to you!

With pride and love

Your Athletic Trainer 💜🖤
