It’s been a few days since we made history at Symphony Space with our Hip Hop Musical @survivingthehood_ As I sit back and reflect on what we did I’m overwhelmed and couldn’t be prouder for the team that Jehovah has made me a part of. First i want to think Alecia Heyward for writing the phenomenal script! What can I say about the musical genius @damen_heyward not only did he write every song he directed this masterpiece as well. My guy @normansobie_mcgill always comes through in the clutch and makes it happen. To Anthony, Layla, @nefertiti_ife , Star, Lyla, @pasterisamatthew and Matthew, Jovan, Jasper, @luki_living_life and @bernard_dj_casino (Nard) a super huge thank you! Lastly, to the people that made the engine go our incredible, phenomenal and magnificent CAST who all delivered masterful performances!!! Stay tune for upcoming shows and our latest updates!! #survivingthehood #flitv

Well, well, well—where do I begin? I truly loved working with this amazing, talented cast! We are the Surviving The Hood family now! A special shout-out to co-creators Damen and Alicia Heyward for trusting us as actors to bring these characters to life. Damen, a true musical genius, composed every song, and they were all phenomenal. This production shares an important message about how gun and gang violence affects our families and young people, and why it’s vital to encourage our youth to make thoughtful, responsible choices—because every action has consequences. By God's grace, we all worked incredibly hard and supported one another in every way to bring this production to life. It was an honor and privilege to play Aunt Rose. Also, shout-out to my amazing family and friends who came to support me! It was also great to see my former Professors, Dr. Turk, Autumn, and Mary Carey, as well as her lovely husband. You all have a special place in my heart! I love you all!

This is only the beginning of this amazing production! The best is yet to come! ❤️🙏🏽

Since we posting throwbacks! Shoutout to me @jaygray_the_voice taking over Prospect Park during Juneteenth! I remember getting sick in bed for the week because it poured on us twice from when we started in Washington Square Park to then! Power in soul is actualized everytime we hit the vocals together so it was worth every fever flash lol 💪🏾
